We were in attendance last fall. My 11 yos first away game. The UK crowd was hyped and pumping...then that first play hit. It was glorious. Defense was swiss cheese most of the night, but found a way to pull out the stop at the end. We were joking with several other Vol fans in our section about how long it was taking for our offense to get a first down. We didn't for a long time, because we would score a TD too quick! haha

Yeah, at the end He, his coach, the KY fans and the announcers all proved they did not know the rules concerning the containment of his facemask very late in the game.... key word is grasp which means you have your fingers entwined with some material in other rules and any helmet opening with the rule in question. You can have your hand, wrist, forearm in contact and containing or moving the facemask as long as your fringer do not have completed a grasping. Also you will notice our guy did not sustain contact very long at all.... certainly not continously. You can twist the helmet with leverage on the facemask as long as you are not intertwined with it as defined in the rule AND he was a runner at the time of the contact.

Much adoo about nothing.
