VOLS in other cities besides Knoxville

Tempe, AZ. Rarely run into any Vols fans. Usually at Sky Harbor airport. More often run into Vol fans/connections at work (Arizona State U.) If a student has a Vol connection and is in my office - they say something. just met a student today who has family in Martin and Knoxville - she said she really wanted to go to UT - but could not afford the out-of-state tuition.

Az here also Tempe your not alone

Little place called Valley Head AL, between Fort Payne and Trenton GA where I work... as many annoying Bama fans there as dog fans up there. Auburn fans are ok... oddly a lot of them hate UT. Can't imagine why it seems like Vols ain't beat it in forever.

Jesup, Ga here...Nothing but Dawgs and Gators around here. It's pretty freakin miserable. I don't see any other UT fans. There's actually a few GT fans around here that are excited about our season opener in 2017 with them and I can actually have decent football conversation with.
Other than that, it's the pretty normal crap that Dawg fans spew EVERY YEAR like "we're gonna win the national championship this year"...

This is pretty neat to see how the fanbase is represented in different areas.

You can even scroll over different ZIP codes.

My area (Nashville):
Vandy 24%
Tennessee 20%
Alabama 8%

I love looking at these maps. So much of the data is affected by TV markets and the "designation" of the town or area. Lots of Texas fans in rural North Dakota? Why is that? Longhorn Network? Transplant Texans working the harvest or oil fields?

South Florida. Given this is gator, hurricane and Seminole country I do see quite a few Vol fans with hats, t-shirts or the power T on their vehicle....

Maryville tn native. Georgia tech alumni married a virginia tech alumni. Currently teaching at virginia tech living in the little town of Blacksburg, virginia. Can't wait for the buckeyes to come into town to quiten this fan base down some.
