Where are you guys/gals watching games this year? I moved to Dallas last year and just trying to meet up with fellow VOL fans.

I'm down in Corpus Christi...planning on watching the game on PPV or ESPN360 here. The wife is making those "Pigs In A Blanket" rolls and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. I'm getting all my yard work done EARLY! GBO!!!!

Why not make the short 13-14 hour drive to Knoxville and watch it in person?

Thanks for the invite but that's a long way to drive to watch the VOLS beat Montana down! Enjoy your Pigs in a Blanket!

GO VOLS!!!!

I thought about it! I've driven 14 hours straight many times to see family but I'd be dead to the world and probably fall asleep at the game! lol

Lived in Dallas 5 years and about to move back in 3 months. There is a group that meets up north in Frisco/Plano of TN alumni that watch games.

I always went to Frankies on McKinney. College football fans roll in and out all day but you will usually find a group of Vols fans. They're usually the ones drinking whiskey like water and hanging out with the hottest women.....FYI......

I am a diehard Vols fan who just moved to Dallas this past March. I am not quite sure how I am going to cope with being so far away from Knoxville. Unfortunately I have Time Warner Cable and they have NO sports channels... so it looks like ESPN3 or a local bar. I work and live right off McKinney Ave. and have been to Frankies several times so I might check it out!

Glad to hear about the group in Frisco/Plano... I will def have to check it out!

Go Big Orange!

Best bet is ESPN3 if any of the Texas schools are playing at the same time. There are actually a good number of vol fans in Dallas, just have to find the place to watch the game, and build up tolerance for the "fake UT" comments.

BTW... Loving the fact that I'm showing off the Power T in the color it's supposed to be unlike that burnt orange crap everyone parades down here!!!

"Your T has faded to a weird color"

"No... thats exactly the color it's supposed to be" - GBO

Been here 11+ years now: gotta help educate the cows. Tell em stuff like:

The Volunteers helped build this country, the longhorns helped feed them.

Tell them that Tennesse grads fought at the Alamo...prove me wrong :)

If it weren't for Tennesseans, you would be the Vacas (cows) of the university of Mexico.

UT was founded in 1794...never say "the real UT" that is for pretenders.

Be creative, course it is not hard to win an argument with a cow grad.

As I tell my son, we don't root for beef, we eat it :)

I have been proudly fiying my "Power T" Flag for a month now! If you are ever in the Addison area; know that there is always safe passage for a fellow Vol Fan!

I don't know how to get this to the right thread but I just talked to DirecTV and they said the game will be televised on channel 788 tomorrow although it doesn't say that yet. The reason I called is because it was showing Pay-Per-View on channel 786. PPV is ONLY supposed to be for people in TN where it is blacked-out. Widest dissemination please.

I've been getting the season pass of Gameplan the last few years. I usually get a UT game or two, and I can watch some other games of interest throughout the year.

Been out in the Dallas area since January. Figured most bars in the area wont be showing the game (or most Vol games for that matter) so I went an splurged on the ESPN gameplan... if theres a reason to spurge its on my Vols!!!

I live on the East side of Plano, if you guys are gonna get something going later on in the year lemme know Id love to cruise out and watch some games with some Vol fans.

I grew up here in the Big D, but went to UT. So I'm use to having to deal with Texas fans getting all "the other UT" hardy har har...losers!

Anyway, I live in the Uptown area for a few yrs now (moved down from CHI), and there are a lot of bars but honestly it can be a headache and ruin your day trying to find one to put a UT game on it. Last year a buddy and I went to see the 11 am UGA game at Frankies and they had it on one 19" TV (they pre-schedule the TVs and wont change them). They do have sound boxes, that if you get one that works well on your game, it helps. I suggest bringing a pair of small headphones.

TN/FLA is going to be at the same time as the TX/UCLA game so it's gonna be REALLY tough to find a place that is going to give UT much love. Not saying it can't happen, but we do need to get a group of Vols that want to watch games in the Downtown/Uptown area. This will be the only way we can approach a bar to gives us some respect.

With all that said, there is nothing wrong with Third Base up in Frisco. They do a great job of giving the Alumni Assoc a prime spot to watch games. They've got the hit or miss cute waitress theme going on. Problem is its up in FRISCO. Pretty straight shot up the tollway, but its about a 20+ mile hike. They get a good number of UT fans there, and worth trying to go and see if you know anyone from back in the day. But after some drinks you better hope you meet a cougar at the bar to invite you back and work off those drinks...ha!

I'm an '02 grad so if any of yall want to start to get a more Dallas proper group together...let me know.

Go VOLS!!!
