Yes Heuple put the O in a very bad situation by intentionally running the clock down and left the O with 2nd and goal, no timeouts, and 9 seconds. AL D knew they were probably going to have to pass the ball on that down if they wanted a chance at more than one play for a FG. They even called timeout to discuss it and Heuple still ran the same play.

If the ball was on the 5 or even 2 yd line sure its a pass but at the 1 running the ball is still a very good option. They practice these situations every game and the bottom line is we just didn’t execute. If we had spread it out and Joey got sacked it would still be Coaches fault and how many “why didn’t he just run the ball” would we be hearing?

I don't feel like we fought. I feel like we **** the bed. Mistakes, penalties, poor tackling, poor clock management, etc. The moment was too big for this team and we shrank.

Honestly, 9 seconds or not, you put in that jumbo package and let them flood the middle of the line and roll out Joey with RB and a pulling guard or two to the right. 90% success rate.

Lewis as the lead blocker. If you have to pass from the ONE, you are saying "We just aren't Man enough to run it in".
