The one time he got significant playing time against scrubs last year he was terrifying to watch as well. I am fully preparing to buckle up for what will be an emotional wreck of a ride this year. I hope I’m wrong. Man, would I love to be wrong!

Did you see the VQ video of JA yesterday where one of the last questions, the reporter asked him how to say "Go VOLS" in Spanish? He said " I don't know." and laughed. Apparently doesn't speak en Español but he has a great sense of humor. Very likeable guy IMO.

We have some new monsters on the team in Campbell and Dye. Those 2 Dline freshmen look like SEC seniors. Now. They will get in the rotation this season along with Moe,Hobbs,West,Weatherby

Jesse Perry and Jeremias Heard are both HUGE and look much better than last year. I think Perry is gonna be the "6th man" and spell all the interior guys. Bennett Warren same thing but for the 2 Tackles. We actually have good depth on the Oline this year. MUCH better than last year. Hopefully the younger Heard can earn his way into playing time when big brother leaves. The elder Heard looks much healthier and better than last year when he was hurt all year. He likely goes pro after a good season at LTackle.

This roster looks like a 90s VOLS roster. Finally. Everyone is huge and fast etc. I am excited to see what happens with TE Dasaahn Brame. He may be in 3rd or 4th for the pecking order at TE...but he is really an overgrown WR with crazy quickness and speed. He returned punts for his HS team...as a TE. Thats how shifty he is. No way LBs can cover him 1 on 1....and DBs are too small to cover him. He can be a huge star at UT over his career IMO.

I’m glad you know me so well. I can’t believe I have skipped family gatherings due to being a fan of this team, stuck around for decades hoping the next year will finally be the year, screamed til I was hoarse and crossed my fingers as my heart pounded in my chest every time we were in a close game. You’re right. I hope I’m right. I hope we suck. Makes a lot of sense to me, I guess?

His knee injury was way worse than originally thought. Really bad apparently. At this point, I just hope the guy ever makes it back to the field and can have a good life after ball.

Farooq and Beasley will play at Safety this year. Turrentine is the lone veteran there, but his 12 missed tackles last year lead the team so he will have to tighten up. Jacobe Thomas is also back. We have 6 freshmen DBs of varying sizes and abilities but I don't know how many play versus redshirt. The 25 class had a big haul for DBs though...we got some good players there but they are young.

Ok now I'm so lost. Maybe jacobe was who I was thinking of... but I thought he was the one who transferred out? Who was the big transfer in the secondary that was a little surprising and big hit to the secondary?
