True, especially by those cops who smoke pot themselves. Plus, they got to generate revenue for the city or county. To avoid that reality, the solution is simply don't puff pot.

Not to mention all the Gator and Tide fans in the department who I’m sure wouldn’t intentionally make life difficult for our players.

Or the officers who just generally hate the team because they have to work game days.

It appears the NCAA has decided to up the acceptable limit of THC for drug tests by over 4 times the previous limit. Maybe we will lose fewer players going forward.

NCAA loosens marijuana rules for college athletes

If an 18-22 year old feels the need to partake, I'd much rather they take a couple tokes instead of a couple shots before going out for the evening.

Not that I disagree with you, but we legalized alcohol and look what people do as a result. It's less the substance than it is the people who abuse its use.
There are so many things that THC fixes with no side effects, and no hangover. Example: I have had extreme blood pressure issues (200/101 at the Drs office) that other meds do not touch. One hit and I am 123 over 77 or so. Non addictive (a miracle in my book).
It is life to many who live in states that have made it legal.

I don't believe my post condemned you. My statement was: Not that I disagree with you, but we legalized alcohol and look what people do as a result. It's less the substance than it is the people who abuse its use. I have a friend, well more like an ex-friend now. As I strolled along a roadside, on seeing me he drove toward me, now mind you, it's a 45mph road. I jumped into a ditch. He later said he was just kidding and having a bit of fun. I advised him a car is a transportation device and not a toy. He laughed it off and said, again, he was just having fun. We're not friends anymore. The car wasn't the problem, the problem was his abuse of its use. I have doctor prescribed medications too. If I was dumb enough to intentionally overdose on them, the medicine isn't the problem, the problem would be my abuse of their use. So see? I didn't condemn anyone with that statement, nor anyone who makes proper use of a medication (or car). Oh, by the way, addiction isn't limited to physiological effects, one can become psychologically addicted as well. David Duchovny, for example.

People who spend a lot of time smoking pot tend not to have their $hit together.....
Maybe you've witnessed this around "the wrong crowd", but most 30 somethings I know smoke and all are very responsible, good (a few VERY GOOD) jobs, kids, etc.

You might be surprised how many modern CEOs smoke, many instead of drinking.

David Duchovny is fascinating. Especially once you've watched Californication and realize how autobiographical it may be. Guy has Ivy League degrees, acts, writes books, and he is also a musician.

Random fun fact:

He's playing a music festival/baseball expo event this year in Tampa Bay. He once wrote a book called "Bucky f***ing Dent" about the baseball player Bucky Dent. Bucky Dent will also be in attendance at the festival...should be interesting.

I liked him in X-Files and his appearance in the Metal Hurlant anthropology video series. His acting acumen is unquestioned. Had no idea he also wrote.

Love what you're saying. But you're preaching personal responsibility and that has been downplayed in our society for nearly 20 years. Its NEVER the person's fault, it ALWAYS someone else's fault.
