I don't believe my post condemned you. My statement was:
Not that I disagree with you, but we legalized alcohol and look what people do as a result. It's less the substance than it is the people who abuse its use. I have a friend, well more like an ex-friend now. As I strolled along a roadside, on seeing me he drove toward me, now mind you, it's a 45mph road. I jumped into a ditch. He later said he was just kidding and having a bit of fun. I advised him car is a transportation device and not a toy. He laughed it off and said, again, he was just having fun. We're not friends anymore. The car wasn't the problem, the problem was his abuse of its use. I have doctor prescribed medications too. If I was dumb enough to intentionally overdose on them, the medicine isn't the problem, the problem would be my abuse of their use. So see? I didn't condemn anyone with that statement, nor anyone who makes proper use of a medication (or car). Oh, by the way, addiction isn't limited to physiological effects, one can become psychologically addicted as well.
David Duchovny, for example.
