Consider all the free time you had in college. There was never more before or after. Even when you consider practice and other time committments by varsity athletes, there are many many hours available for academics. When you consider the tutoring time required by coaches, other resources devoted to keep them in school and brain dead jock courses, there's not too many excuses why even a poor student can't get a "C". We know there's more than enough time for partying, wandering Cumberland Ave, getting into fights, etc.
