Now it's time for the assistants to get pay raise, but Butch says "I can't".

So Jancek and Butch have a huge long conversation about it and Jancek basically said "screw you, I can't take these lies..."

OR .....maybe Jancek snapped Butch with a wet towel coming out of the shower one day and Butch said

"Don't do that again John!" and Jancek basically said "There is nothing in my contract about not snapping people with towels...it's a free country Butchy"

I heard Butch and Jancek had a meeting one day after the showers so Butch basically said "Come to my office Jancek"

When they got to the office Butch could have been like "John, i don't like getting snapped with towels...it hurts, it's disrespectful and it's a bad example to the players. I knew this guy that got his eye put out at Michigan one time in a towel snapping fight."

Jancek was probably like "then you should have mentioned in the contract...i'm a towel snapper from way back so just get used to it Butchy"

Butch probably would have said "you are fired at the end of the year Jancey and stop calling me Butchy"

How long before Colorado State announces Jancek at same position? Last week that was what a lot of people were saying. Jancek to Colorado State, Martinez leaving too and Shoop to UT. I am interested to see how this plays out and how "in the know" some of my friends are about this lol.

I would have been cool with Jancek staying but think it would not be too hard to upgrade that position assuming we will pay the money (HUGE assumption)

Bo Pelini would be awesome.

Wasn't he the DC that actually beat Saban while at LSU?

Shoop would be awesome too.

Some of the things that Jancek is retweeting on Twitter almost makes him sound bitter.

Nevertheless, I thank him for making UT's defense serviceable again.

Butch has to hire a proven coach. there is no way around it. to add to the class we have and keep the recruits we have, it has to be a homerun hire. And, I think Butch knows that...

That's not what Matthews said. He's misconstruing it. He was asked point blank if he thought UT would pay $1m + for Shoop if he's the choice and if that's what he would command? He said yes. Matthews' said he doesn't think any coordinator is worth $1m but that's for another fm debate. Money may have played a role in Janceck's leaving because he wasn't close to what other DC's are making. Not because we won't do it but because perhaps Butch felt that's what his value was worth.

Well so far Bob Shoop has been called Shot, Shoops, Shoots, and Shots. I sure hope Bod Snoots is an upgrade over John Jancik. Maybe we should ask that Dormandy guy or Lane Kiffen...
