I love how this guy looked at the original uniform thread, started a brand new one anyway because his mockups are SO IMPORTANT AND NEW, saw that one get merged....and then started YET ANOTHER new thread about it the very next way.
Of course yesterday, this guy seemed to believe that posting his photoshop jobs up on an internet message board had them already halfway into production, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised:
So how far up Mike Hamilton's list of priorities do you think "review proposed uniform changes from internet message board posters" is?
Thanks. The reason black socks & shoes look better is because they don't "compete" (which bright colors spread everywhere tend to do) with the uniform.I like 'em. I really like the black/black socks n shoes. 10x better than the white socks

Just like camera angles in movies and photo's often try to focus the viewer's eye toward the key element in the shot.
As long as the black doesn't clash with the other colors, it can be a very helpful aide, as the black trim (currently on the Basketball Uni's, too) provides a very subtle means of contrast between the two bright colors (Orange & White). For example, in magazines, TV ad's, Graphics on Newscasts, etc.. you often see black or dark colors employed in a similar manner, as a Stroke or Drop Shadow...just to provide necessary contrast. You try to do it as subtle as possible, so that it's visible only to the point that it does that job, and no further...unless it's a prominent color in the overall scheme. THAT is why I agree that black should not be included as a prominent color, along with the orange & white. At most, it should only be used modestly as a contrasting aide...nothing more.
The lady Vols have powder blue as a SECONDARY element as well. Bruce Pearly uses Black as such...so why all these haters are throwing a tantrum over applying the same scheme in Football, is just ridiculous.
Bruce didn't ask their permission, and I doubt CLK will either. That's not to say folks can't have an opinion, but taking it to the extreme (spitefully harassing anyone with a different opinion)...as the Sphincter Bros. are, is indeed ridiculous. You don't hear them b!tch about the B-Ball uniforms, or call for Pearl's resignation over it.
Probably true...under CPF. But this IS an new staff, new era. USC saw some minor uniform changes or enhancements while Kiffin was there. Not saying he was behind it. But we'll see.Honestly, this will never go. We will never have uniforms that look like this.
I'm not trying to burn you or your designs, I'm not trying to take a side at all, I'm simply sayin' that it won't happen. It's time to give it a rest. We will not, in the near future, make any move toward incorporating anything different to our uniform, save outlines or piping. That's it. Our jerseys will remain basically the same for many, many years.
The reason I disagree with that and asked the moderator not to merge it, is that the other threads purpose was to make mention of Black Jersey's sighted at some store. And it became a heated debate about "black out's" or not. I explained previously why I agree to the extent that Black shouldn't be considered a primary color. Nevertheless, it CAN work as an aid (via trim, that provides a modest amount of contrast between the two bright colors). A very good example is our basketball uni's.I really like the unis... but this really does need to be MERGED.
I'm not trying to be mean, because they are very good, but just because YOU made them doesn't mean that they need a whole new thread to contain their awesomeness.

This thread is about my specifically asking other fans for a thumbs up or thumbs down regarding the designs I am seriously considering the idea of showing them to the staff and/or the Athletic Dept.
I'm a Graphic Designer and 3D artist by trade, and instead of "hoping" that some changes are made in the future, I thought I might be able to assist in that effort, to some degree perhaps.
That's a completely different purpose than the other thread...and instead of merely giving a yeah or nay, some folks have taken it upon themselves to spitefully try and wreck this thread. Is it jealousy? Is it just their bunghole nature coming through? Probably both, IMHO.
Thanks...I thought about that. I may take the time to model a 3D UT football player (can animate it and create some media content, possibly), and apply the variations during the texturing process.Well in my case it certainly is a thumbs up on the jerseys. I did read the thread and some specific people did turn into c** guzzling dumpster sl**s..
Anyway, keep up the good work, but it might not be a bad idea to work on the designs on different photos to get a better sense of the look from different angles.
Not sure about the percentage, but those were throwback jersey's I thoughtQuestion: Is there any restrictions or rules teams must follow for Away games concerning the uniforms/designs besides the wearing of white jerseries. How much color is allowed, I remember the ugly away jerseries that had orange across the shoulder pad area.
Majors changed the stripe on the helmet, and Fulmer made a few minor changes here and there...it was the coaches decision. Again, other major programs have added subtle changes...USC and Oklahoma being 2 of them...not to mention Miami. I respect your opinion, but you speak in strict, dogmatic terms.."They will...." Are you "They?" Are you on the staff or in the AD?But this won't happen. This is too drastic. What you're saying is similar to the thinking that when JoePa leaves Penn State, they will update their unis.
No. It won't happen. They will say thank you for your time, and move along. They won't want this, because it's too drastic. Especially with the full white (or orange) stripe. It just isn't going to work. It won't look like a T. It will look like wide, full length solid color stripes, and that isn't UT. Lane Kiffin's job is to win, not change uniforms. The decision to "update" would come from above, not from Kiffin. And Hamilton won't be changing the overall design.

Again, we'll see.
