VN should apologize to JG

We are going to need JG to help win some games this year whether you like it or not. The coaching staff knows it and anyone with a brain knows it. I agree he screwed up big time on that play, missed a couple of TDs with bad throws, is a below average SEC QB, but he will be needed before the end of the season. For me, I will be much happier with winning games than throwing the meanest, most incompetent SOB off the team. Grow up people.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Not trashing a kid but this guy who started this thread is Seinfeld in his hay day funny.

What is the Cliff notes version of the OP? I quit reading after the fifth line.

It's just an ignorant attempt to shift blame from the QB to Pruitt with an aside that we owe our QB an apology. All this predicated on the premise that OP "played the damn position" and him obviously having blatantly ignored the actual video of the play.

My only apology to JG is that he was able to get a scholarship to UT. At this point he looks like he is sabotaging the program the best way he can. If this was the government he would be shot for treason.

In my opinion he was jealous because Brian had scored on a sneak and he wanted to do it to. He went rogue because he’s a selfish little prick.
I’ll give him the benefit of doubt and go with the brain fart scenario.

It at least puts him in a better light.....

Sorry nope i'm not sorry for what I said about JG
You don’t have to apologize. It’s your opinion. But we’ve had multiple seasons of JG and it’s clear he’s not the best option for this team. They clearly play better for Maurer.

After spending a good deal of time analyzing "the play" and seeing various videos this conclusion is thus drawn and it's perfect and revolves around the fact that Jeremy Pruitt the head coach at the university of tennessee will not allow any team member to call a time-out under any circumstance regardless of the situation. First and foremost has a time-out been called by a player that any poster on VN is aware of? I think not and to be more specific Pruitt will not tolerate such. UT was successful in pulling a QB sneak on 1st attempt vs. Ga.St. 2nd attempt not one but 2 ILB's filled the middle gaps. JG, the QB had no choice but to see what was in front of his own eyes yet he ran the called play choosing not to audible out but run said called play. Why didn't a time-out enter his mind? Flash to this Sat. nite vs. Bama and it's 4th down once again. What happened? Ole Nick or Bama's DC must watch game film because as video demonstrates the ILB, (May), filled that gap just like Ga. St. did. A QB has to see this and if many say that called played had Crouch hitting a hole then JG knew immediately that LBer wasn't gonna be blocked and no way possible was that hand-off to Crouch ever gonna occur. There's not but one solution and that's call a time-out. Why hasn't JG done this? Why hasn't anyone done this that plays for UT? You now know the truth. We don't have a football coach. He himself should have known the play was gonna get blown-up and called the time-out himself. Now after reading those 12 pages of posts something still didn't make any sense but when you factor in the fact that Pruitt will not allow a player to take it upon himself to call a time-out at a critical juncture especially a QB serious problems can arise. Is it gonna take a 3rd time? Will Bailey really play here? No wonder our QB's have little confidence. Can't be trusted to call a time-out in a critical situation is f*#king belittling. I'll go 1st JG I'm sorry you had to end up playing for Hitler. I think your a good QB and has tried and you knew the situation Sat. nite. You did try to the best of your ability under the circumstance.
PS Pruitt isn't covering JG's butt...he's covering his own. See if any media boys confront the coach over time-outs
Hey QB, here ya go.

simply imagine yourself under center in big-time college ball and see that LB square up at LOS. Better yet read the thread that was posted earlier today that showed the video's etc. I'm defending a kid that was put on a bad spot and his only outlet was a time-out. The damn question I'm asking is why doesn't a player at UT get to call a time-out in a critical situation? Cut the BS and answer the point-blank question.
Then ask a player. Mouth!!!

This is possibly the stupidest post I've ever seen on here, filled with emotional overreaction, hyperbole, and just sheer idiocy. That's saying something for a website that Dobbs4Heisman calls home.

I'm proud of you OP. Impressive.

Hey QB, here ya go.

And this right here is why he shouldn't start. When the coach gives you a play you run it, you for sure tell your O-Line. I hate it for JG, I pulled for him. But at this point the best thing he can do is come in if needed as a backup. Not doing him no favors by starting him, start Shrout if Maurer can't go and if Shrout can't do anything bring JG in then. He plays better coming off the bench than starting anyway. But if he ever does not run the play called again he should never be allowed back on the field in a Tennessee uniform. GBO!

Complete ********. What’s wrong with you?

Didn't bother to read the OP because dumb posts give me headaches.

Anyone else beginning to think that JG may have ulterior motives for some of the pranks he pulls? I do. Never seen a college player sabotage his team multiple times like this. I have no information but something is not right here.

Put yourself in his shoes and see that LB. You have no choice but to go right, the 10 gap. 1 being the designation of qb. He's not athletic but in that case he had no choice but to improvise. I PLAYED THE DAMN POSITION so I KNOW WHERE FAULT LIES.

If I was in his shoes, I'd have handed it off the RB, as it was pretty clear that was the inital play called with the guard pulling, the FB preparing to block for the RB, and the direction that the RB stepped to initally. Seems pretty obvious that the only person who wasn't on board with this play was JG.

Now it's possible JG was told he could switch the play at the line depending on how the defense set up. But if that is the case, he still never audibled and the rest of the offense was under the impression it was a running play. Any way you slice it, you can lay the blame on that play on JG and JG only.

That was the original call but because the LB crept into the gap that play was blown. No way under any circumstance does JG make that hand-off. He had no choice other than a time-out. Confront Pruitt over that shat?

Wrong, There clearly was a lane. Video evidence proves this. But even if that were true, if you're gonna change a play, it would be good to let your teammates know so they can adjust their assignments accordingly. Not go rogue with a poorly thought out plan and something no one on the offense is prepared for.
