I did a paper on it and Ruby Ridge on improper law enforcement practices in college, so that's why I am so familiar with both cases.
Here is a snippet of each:
Ruby Ridge - Wikipedia
Waco siege - Wikipedia
IMO the Ruby Ridge was much more of a cluster even though only a few people were killed but the similarities in BOTH incidents are:
-ATF overreaching law to establish crimes that aren't there
-Federal agencies lying and miscommunicating to each other about what was going on
-Anger from LE about "they aren't listening to what we say"
-irrational fears from LE side about firearms
-Lack of communication with the suspects when they (especially Koresh) probably would've just come talk to them in person
-trumping up charges using "secret informants" to get "more serious charges"
-using media propaganda to push false narratives
