Yes, he really was that slow on the field.....and it didn't escape ANY NFL scout's notice....

I like the guy, but the pure truth is that he WAY under-performed while at UT.....:salute:

Yeah, but he didn't look like he was. At all.

Its amazing how much insight some of you guys have after the fact. Pearson never looked "slow,"
and he had 76 catches and 8 TDs on his stat line. You know what that tells me.... that the passing
game "WAY underperformed" last year, not our leading receiver in 2015.

Please learn to read. I NEVER said that our passing game or that "THE" passing game under-performed last year in my post.

I said that Vonn Pearson WAY under-performed in his career at UT! And that is the flat out truth...

Also--just because I didn't POST how SLOW Pearson looked on those JET SWEEPS he attempted to run for us during the SEASON in this forum doesn't mean that I am just now realizing it after the fact. He was truly pathetic on those plays--and his lack of speed was EVIDENT!

Last year he lead our team in receiving...but his LACK of SPEED really showed up in his rushing attempts on the "speed" sweep--where he attempted to rush 4 times and gained a total of -5 yards. And that ain't gonna get anyone's attention in the NFL.

Pearson was a BUST for us--AND by the way--the NFL scouts agree with me or he'd be signed as a FA by now....

You can't be 6'3" and 190 lbs and run a 4.8 40 as a WR and expect ANYONE to SIGN YOU...

We wouldn't even sign him to a scholarship NOW if he ran that at a camp.

And what makes it worse is that Pearson thinks that just PLAYING in the SEC makes him worthy of an NFL roster....talk about delusional....

If he wants to make a roster--he better quit thinking just showing up qualifies him and work his butt off to get that 40 time down to 4.6....:salute:

Thats one of the "weirder" posts I've seen on here. So the guy that led the team in receiving "underperformed," its not because our passing game sucks.

And I'm so grateful for people on this board that know exactly what players and sometimes their parents "think." Sheez.

I bumped this up to see if anyone had heard how the VFLs were doing. Heard Brian Randolph was 2nd string safety already.

I watched the first episode of Hard Knocks and Brian Randolph was in a part. It wasn't football related though (they were going to go into the ocean but we're too scared of the big waves. Hopefully he is doing well in camp so we might be able to get a update on the show.

The second you know who said Randolph would never be in the NFL, I knew right then that he would probably be a pro bowler in a couple of years.

Michael Palardy signed with the Colts yesterday. Hope he sticks as their punter.

I hope so too..I'd like to see all these guys get at least one decent contract to maybe get them a house and take care of their families.

Looks like Palardy signed for 450k...does he get that if he gets cut?

Michael Palardy signed a 1 year, $450,000 contract with the Indianapolis Colts, including an average annual salary of $450,000. In 2016, Palardy will earn a base salary of $450,000. Palardy has a cap hit of $450,000.

Not all of it if he gets cut before the season starts. He would only get a portion of that salary. If he ends up getting cut after the season starts the Colts must pay him his full salary of $450,000.

Kyler Kerbyson, wearing # 72 for the Patriots, played very well last night against the Saints.
He played LG the last few series of the fourth quarter, and he did well....no missed assignments, had one pancake knock, and looked like he belonged out there.
Good Luck KK!

The Colts have one of the best punters in the league. My guess is Vinatieri is retiring after this year and will be grooming Palardy to replace him.

That could be possible but the transaction was reported as Palardy being signed as a Punter.

Bump..,

I didn't see North get anytime on the field but I did see Randolph play quite a bit. Can't be good for Marquez
