I guess I’d like to see what metric you use to measure the differences between Vandys coaches and Pruitt. in Franklins first year he took over a train wreck program and his superior skills netted them 2 more conference wins then the previous regime and 4 more wins overall. I believe Franklin is a great coach but don’t have enough to say Pruitt is or isn’t to date.
Mason then took over a program stocked by Franklin and won less games and 0 conference games in his first year. He has since fluctuated each season by winning or losing one game more than the previous year, never winning more than 6 games.
Pruitt took a program in shambles and won 2 more conference games than the previous staff with both of those being top 25 ranked programs. He also improved by one game on the previous year overall.
I know I know...the offensive line was horrible and showed no improvement. I think they showed improvement but a lack of consistency. Either way, many here on VN say stats don’t matter...just win. He won more games than the previous staff and improved on last season while playing one of the toughest schedules in all of college football.
So how can you say that the last two Vandy coaches are better than him at this point?
Just curious. It just sounds to me like people actively seek ways to down the program whether it’s supported by reality or not. It seems like people like to try and draw parallels that aren’t valid and do nothing more than give themselves more ways to say “ho-hum, I’m the victim...I have it so bad”.
Get over yourselves.
