Vandy's last two coaches vs our last 3

I guess I’d like to see what metric you use to measure the differences between Vandys coaches and Pruitt. in Franklins first year he took over a train wreck program and his superior skills netted them 2 more conference wins then the previous regime and 4 more wins overall. I believe Franklin is a great coach but don’t have enough to say Pruitt is or isn’t to date.

Mason then took over a program stocked by Franklin and won less games and 0 conference games in his first year. He has since fluctuated each season by winning or losing one game more than the previous year, never winning more than 6 games.

Pruitt took a program in shambles and won 2 more conference games than the previous staff with both of those being top 25 ranked programs. He also improved by one game on the previous year overall.
I know I know...the offensive line was horrible and showed no improvement. I think they showed improvement but a lack of consistency. Either way, many here on VN say stats don’t matter...just win. He won more games than the previous staff and improved on last season while playing one of the toughest schedules in all of college football.

So how can you say that the last two Vandy coaches are better than him at this point?
Just curious. It just sounds to me like people actively seek ways to down the program whether it’s supported by reality or not. It seems like people like to try and draw parallels that aren’t valid and do nothing more than give themselves more ways to say “ho-hum, I’m the victim...I have it so bad”.
Get over yourselves.

Question: Since Vandy claimed the high moral ground all those years we were beating them -- ie., "UT is a football program with a college attached to it for appearances" -- can't we now turn that on them? I already am, in my dealings with the handful of their fans who work around me. They've even begun adopting redneck ways: some idiot in a big pickup with a Vanderbilt license plate cut me off in traffic this morning, to make sure I saw his VU decals.

Or should we adopt the Ole Miss mantra: "We may not win the game but we always win the party!"

Did y’all see where Mason said that Vandy was relevant because they were bowl eligible?

That’s the difference. Vandy thinks they are relevant for making s bowl.

What's crazy is I think Derek Mason is actually a good coach. He just has major hurdles at Vandy with recruiting and staff hires.
Me too. He was an excellent assistant coach and I thought early on in his time at Vandy he would be good for them. Of course that wasn’t a popular opinion

How can Vandy out hire UT? The last coach was awesome and got snatched up by PSU. This one is decent and is set to get snatched up by multiple teams. Our last 3 hires have been total busts. Are you serious?

Do you not know who runs our football program?
