Love this pic ...

Love the pic. We're in it in V section. All we could see of our cheerleaders were an occasional top of megaphone. Sad stadium and set up.

Early on UT had a player down hurt. Can't remember who.

But they were laughing and joking and saying all types of things about him while he was down.

Calling him Chuckie Mullins and started a semi Chuckie Mullins chant.

That is the most classless piece of **** thing I've ever heard at a ball game and I've heard some brutal ****....

The students and alumni have absolutely zero common sense and decency. To be so smart they are so stupid.

The story of Vandy fans. They say how bad we are in preseason a dn how they will beat us all the way up until the game. They play us close and then say we suck and how great they are when they are 3-9 and (0-8) in the sec. They win fan base with the best excuses for why they lose as well.

Vandy fans haven't adjusted to being in the basement of the SEC once again. Give them another season of this and they'll vanish or be as meek as lambs.

I would not doubt them being rich well mommy and daddy being rich. It cost a ton to go there BUT the education is no better than state and private colleges. FACT.

If someone could afford going to Vandy they could probably afford to go somewhere like Pennsylvania,Dartmouth or Cornell which would be better.

Vandy is a member of some tuition free consortium
some people do pay full tuition and many pay nothing. Not sure how it breaks down.

You don't have to afford Vanderbilt; you just have to be willing to take on on an irresponsibly large student loan burden after you get in. A certain number of minorities and a certain number of very talented kids get scholarships. Having attended and graduated from both UT and Vandy, I definitely preferred the UT student body--far less pedantic, not as godless, better looking and more fun.

The day after I graduated from UT I went out to dinner with my aunt in Dickson at the Cracker Barrel. We are eating minding our own business and this guy in Vandy gear walks in, sees my UT Alumni T-shirt and pulls out a laser pins and shines it on me. When we all look at him incredulously he says something smart about UT that I don't really remember. They are just weird people. I let it go not wanting to get arrested for something so stupid as beating a 60 year old man in a cracker barrel, especially since the store already had my Credit card and my aunt is too slow to run for it.

My wife's in-laws are Vandy folks ... unbearably smug during the rare seasons when they have some success, and when they don't ... "Oh, he has always been a Florida fan, and ya gotta respect that." Or substitute Alabama. Pathetic.

A huge part of their fanbase is redneck as hell. They come in from the rural middle Tennessee parts or Antioch.

Just plain white trash.

Behind me they were screaming "Midwest Trash" at Butch. Cursing profusely and yelling all kinds of profanities.

Whit people don't live in Antioch. It is all Hispanic

I curse often. Thank god I was given enough sense not to do so when I look around and see children present.

I was in a Georgia section and near kids at the UGA game. After our first unforced fumble, I jumped out of my seat and ran to the concourse to cool off, to avoid dropping an F-bomb.

Wouldn't your wife's in-laws be your parents? That's not how you should speak of your family.

I never cared about Vandy until I moved to Nashville. Their fans are the worst, though almost all of them never went to Vandy nor could they have gotten in. Instead, they are just people that like to be contrarians. You can't really get to them because they don't care about their team much but are quick to pile on you when your team is down.

So true....and most don't know squat about football either
