Vandy coach fires recruiting shot

Eh his vagina is all agitated because he knows Vandy had their one win against us last year and now he sees what kind of talent Butch is bringing in and knows the same thing will not happen again in a long time.

You are out of your mind if you think the HS football talent level has ever been this high and you are high if you think that our coaches have ever been in on so many kids and welcomed in so many schools. We've never had that presence here in the highschools as the talent wasn't high and we had to go elsewhere to get kids.

1. "I've been here since '98"
2. I didn't mention a word about the level of talent, you did--a claim which I didn't refute, and which I agree.
3. We had a presence, of that there is no doubt, but there wasn't the talent level, although Stratford High School did have its share of talented players.

why is it that everyone on here seems to worry about Vanderbilt. Over the last 80 years they have averaged beating us in football about once every ten years. They consider us a rivalry but do we really consider them a rivalry, I think not. They are in a conference way over their heads and have been a bottom dweller since the SEC was formed. They do not even have one conference title in SEC football since its inception, this is sad. They have a ridiculous stadium that is so small and outdated, that it is actually an eyesore to the SEC. Their fans can't even fill their stadium. Vandy is a joke and always will be and everyone should just ignore them.

I don't want in the argument. But I do know I've never seen talent like this pumping out of Nashville. The crazy thing is...I think this is just the beginning.

I think that poster thought I was referring to fan support. From Hendersonville, to Gallatin, mt Juliet, murf, Franklin, brentwood Nashville and circle back to Hendersonville and the talent level is at its highest.

I didn't say anything about fan support. I was referring to former player support and the attitudes of the coaches in receiving Butch, elder and Thig. Fulmer even had enemies here. Butch has none.

I did not get that at all...must've been a context in there that I missed.

Yes, but I actually think its gonna keep getting better. The Metro area should have right at about 2 million by 2020. I think what we are seeing is in the beginning stages. Not only are the talent numbers increasing, there are some really good programs down there...many really good coaches.

I cannot for the life of me remember where I heard and/or read this--I think it might have come from Mayor Dean--but there's a study out there that shows Nashville's rate of growth that would have it as large as Denver, CO is currently, in 20 years.

That has A LOT to do with it; Nashville has grown leaps and bounds over the 34 years I've called it home. The surrounding counties even more so; Williamson, Rutherford, Sumner, and Wilson counties don't even look the same from when I graduated high school.
