Anyone else use this website? I've booked my last 4 vacation using that site as you can save a crapload of money over paying standard hotel rates.

My sister suggested we go to Myrtle Beach in September after the rates go down this year. She wanted to book straight through a hotel. I told her to wait and I would find something much better price wise. My wife and I are going to go with my sister and brother in law and their two kids. They are 6 and 4 years old. We got a 1 bedroom 1 bath oceanfront condo at The Palms hotel in Myrtle Beach. The bedroom has two queen beds in it and the sofa pulls out into a queen sleeper. My wife and I will stay in there and my sister and her family will take the bedroom.

I found the best deal I've ever got on VRBO this morning. We are going to arrive Saturday September 19th and leave Saturday the 26th. I got the room with taxes and cleaning for $196.01 for the entire fricking week. This isn't the nicest hotel in Myrtle Beach but its not a bad hotel and has generally good ratings. They have indoor and outdoor pools as well as a sauna and exercise room on site. I was expecting to spend about $200 per couple - even going the VRBO route. I put the $50 deposit down today so we both will basically be paying $75/couple when we go in September.

Just kind of throwing this website out there in case others may want to book vacations and they want to save some money. I've never had a problem going this route and have saved a ton of money on the last several vacations we have taken. This one though takes the cake. I was floored when I found a room that said $175 for the week and floored even more when I found out the cleaning was part of that price and all they added was taxes. A week at the beach when the crowds will be down and the weather should still be good for that price has made my day today.

SON OF A...........

No I did not realize that. Oh well, this will get me even more brownie points with my wife. As long as the game is a 3:30 or later kickoff I will be fine.

I had a friend that has a wedding that day. I have already informed him that if the game is a noon game, I will not be there. Sounds crazy, but I dont think I could miss that game for my life. I am thinking with all the hype it will end up being the primetime night game on ESPN.

I hurt for you for a minute there. LOL

It reminds me though of my dad and step-mom coming home from a cruise one year with another couple. They drove until it was about an hour til game time. Nobody wanted to take time to look for a restaurant or sports bar. So they stopped at some little hotel in south Georgia and my dad and his friend run in and tell the clerk "we need a room for a few hours. Can we get a deal on something?" LMAO!!! They still crack up when they think of that clerk's face!

I got married on the day of the Wyoming game. Saw the final score about 30min before the service. At least I had something to cheer myself up

Seriously, that is a wild mix of emotion right there, lol. Wish I had something to make me fondly remember that day.

I can imagine. What must that clerk have been thinking......"jeeze, these swingers really want to do it badly, and in a hurry. Damn!".
