How many points do you get for running someone over? There's a time and a place for it of course, because sometimes there is no better option than to lower your pads. But trying to go through a defender instead of around them is generally bad strategy for a RB.Yeah, never worked for Herschel, ask Bill Bates.

And I'm happy to have Lewis, but he ain't Walker.

Don't forget James "Little Man" Stewart!!We need a quality power speed typical SEC running back. Elite running backs fit any system. You don’t just settle for fits In the system exclusively. Settling for average to good backs isn’t the answer unless you want to be the Dallas Cowboys who believe any running back will do. Tennessee used to dish out strong tough fast backs that could hit the hole. To heck with settling for decent fits the system backs. We need dudes in the backfield. Johnny Jones,Reggie Cobb,Chuck Webb,Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry all bad dudes in the back field. Scat backs are a dime a dozen but you can find the strong and special like Alvin Kamara,Travis Stephens, Charlie Garner and Dylan Sampson. We need to recruit elite backs more, no settling. I would love to get Savion! GBO
RECRUITING NEWS: Nations top RB declares Michigan as his top school
Savion Hiter, the top-rated running back in the 2026 class has told On3's Steve Wiltfong that Michigan is on the top of his list of schools. Hiter and his traiwww.si.com
A lot of vision is actually patience. Many young backs lack patience. Isn’t Lewis supposed to be the fastest player on the roster. My untrained eye saw lots of potential in Lewis. Big and fast is a good combination. He was a true freshman. Jaylen Wright “lacked vision” as a true freshman, but learned it.
Contrary to popular belief, it can be taught. Learning the offense and blocking schemes better, as well as learning to be patient and set up blocks are teachable skills.
Absolutely. He was one of the 1st players I remember watching to ever do that. I was actually gonna post that with my last post but I didn't know if people would remember. Good to know someone does. He is from Morristown which is where I'm from so I'm very familiar with him. He used to live right down the street from me.Your right, I loved him. He also could soar at the goal line. If we were at the 1 he was going to score most every time. He had a great goal line leap, he could get way up.
-HubbsElite running back prospect Savion Hiter and Sims continue to talk a good amount. Hiter has a top four of Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee. We believe as of now it’s Michigan and Tennessee setting the pace. The Wolverines have been slightly out in front but adding Alabama transfer Justice Haynes has made that a busier room in Ann Arbor which could help Tennessee.
