I think we saw that kind of philosophy in Atlanta on Saturday. Before it was making defenses tired with our tempo and then making them make bed decisions based off them being weary.
Now with the multiple formations- and shifting its overload. And the run principals stay the same for the most part. We did do some zone blocking vs pulling lineman, but all of the running was still downhill.
Coach Meyer would emphasize that when Harvin was in the backfield that he “was a RB” in that mode. And that’s the key to…keeping the formation aunthentic to its property. Basically you can’t think that every time Legend Bey is at RB that he will get the ball. He’s just playing RB at that time.
Honestly we showed enough variation and breadth on Saturday that the only we need is more involvement of the TEs in the passing game. And we ran the 12 personnel formation that should open that option up.
I think our TEs need 3 catches each per game. 9 receptions total at least.
