Here's my question: is the issue that Hype's scheme prepares them inadequately OR is it that his scheme allows athletes to have elite levels of offensive success who do not possess the elite skills that are typically associated with that level of offensive success at the college level?By default because Quinshon Judkins is an idiot. And Sampson still has to beat out the incumbent Jerome Ford who is currently listed as the starter on the depth chart. Don't act like he just went and balled out and took the job solely on his own merit. And even if he does win the job, he still has to be successful on the field, which is what I alluded to.
Meh, for the most part people don’t think that. Some people just take one or two crazy opinions and ascribe them to the whole group.Well we’ve got one two spots above that just equated picking Michigan to having lesser character. We’re off and running.
This.I just find it funny that @Stoerner Fumbles had to come on here and publicly castrate himself because the family didn’t like information being out there that could ruin Hiter’s moment. Yet, the choice of Michigan has been leaking like a sieve for about a week now, starting with a true freshman declaring Hiter was going to be a Wolverine, and Michigan mods all but guaranteeing a Hiter commitment, and they seem perfectly fine with that lol.
Next step is beat UGA, which would make us a contender by definition. Natty is still the goal, I promise.I hear you. Just personally feel like it's time to take the next step.
Just frustrated looking at the recruiting class as a whole right now because you pretty much have an idea what to expect over the next 2-3 years.
My point is the recruiting classes have all been in the same range since the beginning of Heupel's tenure. Hell, this goes back to the Pruitt era. Hovering around the 12-17 range with the occasional fridge top 10 class depending on recruiting service. Then, turn around and wonder why Ohio State and UGA kick our teeth in. We constantly get told how great and savvy Spyre & the Vol Club is while the quality of the recruiting classes remains status quo.
If you're asking fans to start paying a premium for seats, tacking on a talent fee, asking for additional money through the collective. And then signing a deal with a "lesser" apparel company for financial gain, then there needs to be better returns on the field. The Adidas deal certainly has been a talking point with Tristen Keys, so it's safe to say people are expecting an immediate impact regardless of when it officially goes into effect.
Also, if we're being honest, the transfer portal hauls the last few years outside of Colton Hood & Jermod McCoy have been very underwhelming.
This admin and staff have done a really nice job all around, but it's getting to the point fans deserve & need to start seeing a better return on their investments. Like a few others have mentioned, there are plenty of programs that charge or expect less that have experienced more success than Tennessee over the same period of time.
I think there is a good chance CJH’s RB evaluation skills get featured this year. Hopefully our CONTINUED production entices the player down the road to sign on too for 27’.Really wanted Hiter. I still think this one goes down to signing day. I don't think Michigan will be very good this year. It will be a rude awakening when their fanbase realizes 5 star QB recruits don't just magically dominate college football as freshman.
I think Hiter was guided toward choosing Michigan becuase of the RB performances under Harbaugh. Sherron Moore is a different coach though. I don't think this year will be as kind to him though. Going to be alot of pressure too if they also lose to Ohio State.
Vol fans need to keep calm. Show love and be patient. Heupel will prove once again this year that his scheme produces for RBs.
Lmao....it's up to the player when they go to the NFL not their offense in college. How about you take a look at Michigan RBs history in the NFL and then look at ours....then get back to me...when you stop feeling like an idiot.Cool, now tell me what that has to do with success in the NFL. Maybe read my post, ponder on it for a moment, and then you won't look like an idiot when you post the first thought that comes to mind.
I'm not sure you realize how ignorant you are.Not much left on the table beyond potentially flipping Keys. This class could easily end up in the 15-20 range if there aren't some unexpected flips or substantial ranking increases on the horizon.
I apologize if I came off as defensive. I just know Austin and Brent are good people that are easily accessible in the community. And yes, Brent is running a business, but he nor anyone from that site have struck me as people that would step on someone to make a buck. It's been $9.99 per month or $99 per year as long as I can remember. If anything, they catch a lot of grief by not going out on a limb with recruiting battles or withholding stories such as the Boo Carter fiasco because they would rather be accurate than first. I would say Brent and AP is about as conservative as it gets. That's why it's annoying when people take shots at them when a recruitment doesn't go our way as if they intentionally misled anyone. If you look at lot of these other team sites, the same can't be said. They will tell their members their team is getting every recruit only to have to perform damage control when it comes out they were overexaggerating the situation. If you go back to Gridscape, then you know why Brent has been around for over 20 years and is trusted by the university and the members of his site. If someone is being led around by the nose, they are allowing that to happen to themselves.I didn't reply at or attack, you or a subscriber, I was agreeing with GFW and Steve. I didn't thank you bc I'm not here for that information. I have family members with subscriptions that would tell me what's said if I cared, I don't. But I'm still allowed to have an opinion on the media, I think.
I'm here, and was a member on Gridscape before here, because there are people here whose info and opinions I value. They share that info when they can because they're fans and we discuss those opinions freely because that's what fans do. It's not a business for them and those people certainly don't get their information from pay sites or state run media.
Maybe ask me why it bothers me instead of assuming I'm too cheap to pay, if you actually want to know. It's not my business what people do with their money. Unfortunately, I'm sure I waste more than $10 a month on more frivolous things than subscriptions. But it does concern me where people place their trust & belief.
History would suggest it's risky to consider people, whose primary goal is self-enrichment/importance, to be trustworthy sources of information. They work to maximize their own value, not their product's value. Their trade is a "gussied-up" version of manipulation. It's just about all the media does anymore. They manufacture drama, uncertainty, outrage, fear; to create dependence in people willing to be dependent. I think that's dangerous to a free society.
I guess most subscribers understand what's going on are willing to endure the attempted manipulation becasue they want the scoop. If so, that's their business. I don't look down on my family members for subscribing. But I do warn that they're being led around by the nose if they don't take it all with a big grain of salt.
Not to mention, we have momentum to flip Keys and Hezekiah Harris before the cycle ends. A top 10 WR and a top 100 edge rusherI'm not sure you realize how ignorant you are.
There are only 7 uncommitted blue chip prospects in the entire country.
15. Bralan Womack: Auburn (Can't jump us in the rankings)
30. Darius Gray: LSU (already ahead of us) or South Carolina (Can't jump us)
211. Jamichael Garrett: LSU. Already ahead of us.
256. Emanuel Ruffin: Bama, LSU, or Ohio State. All three are already ahead of us.
301. Terry Hodges: Arkansas or Missouri. Neither can jump us.
361. Andrew Rogers: North Carolina (cannot jump us)
408. Lakeyleon Graves: Houston bound (cannot jump us)
now, which 3 teams do you expect will jump us in the rankings? lolol
