People are already talking about 2027.

We still have all football season to sign another 2026 RB from HS or the Portal.

There will be about 4 more guys that are late bloomers that we will go after in some
capacity.

Here's my question: is the issue that Hype's scheme prepares them inadequately OR is it that his scheme allows athletes to have elite levels of offensive success who do not possess the elite skills that are typically associated with that level of offensive success at the college level?

The negative recruiting assumes the first. I would argue that the on-the-field results coupled with the recruiting assessments of the players in question, would suggest the second is what's actually happening.

Doesn't matter which is true if the recruits believe it's the first. I just find it fascinating that Hype might actually be "losing elite recruits" because he's designed a system that doesn't require them in order to produce elite results.

Meh, for the most part people don’t think that. Some people just take one or two crazy opinions and ascribe them to the whole group.

Kids character is likely good or we wouldn’t have been recruiting him. His taste in programs is terrible though. 😂

Next step is beat UGA, which would make us a contender by definition. Natty is still the goal, I promise.

Idk that finish 8th rather than 11th would show itself on the field that much in this era. Couldn’t hurt, and I’d love to see it. But framing this as a big failure from the staff is silly with the backdrop of a complete turnaround from trash heap to CFP in 4 years.

I don’t think you’re a troll. Even if you were, the troll police are way more numerous and tedious to me. But, respectfully, you don’t know how this class will wrap up much less the next 3, and you need to touch grass a little bit.

Like a few others have mentioned, there are plenty of programs that charge or expect less that have experienced more success than Tennessee over the same period of time.

This is the best the program has ever been under Heupel.

I think Hiter was guided toward choosing Michigan becuase of the RB performances under Harbaugh. Sherron Moore is a different coach though. I don't think this year will be as kind to him though. Going to be alot of pressure too if they also lose to Ohio State.

Vol fans need to keep calm. Show love and be patient. Heupel will prove once again this year that his scheme produces for RBs.

I think there is a good chance CJH’s RB evaluation skills get featured this year. Hopefully our CONTINUED production entices the player down the road to sign on too for 27’.

I HOPE our OL room outperforms everybody’s projections and think we have a shot. Too many people with declarative statements, not nearly enough questions about this squad. Life would be so much better with fewer guys needing to end their posts with I HOPE I AM WRONG.

They work to maximize their own value, not their product's value. Their trade is a "gussied-up" version of manipulation. It's just about all the media does anymore. They manufacture drama, uncertainty, outrage, fear; to create dependence in people willing to be dependent. I think that's dangerous to a free society.

I guess most subscribers understand what's going on are willing to endure the attempted manipulation becasue they want the scoop. If so, that's their business. I don't look down on my family members for subscribing. But I do warn that they're being led around by the nose if they don't take it all with a big grain of salt.

I apologize if I came off as defensive. I just know Austin and Brent are good people that are easily accessible in the community. And yes, Brent is running a business, but he nor anyone from that site have struck me as people that would step on someone to make a buck. It's been $9.99 per month or $99 per year as long as I can remember. If anything, they catch a lot of grief by not going out on a limb with recruiting battles or withholding stories such as the Boo Carter fiasco because they would rather be accurate than first. I would say Brent and AP is about as conservative as it gets. That's why it's annoying when people take shots at them when a recruitment doesn't go our way as if they intentionally misled anyone. If you look at lot of these other team sites, the same can't be said. They will tell their members their team is getting every recruit only to have to perform damage control when it comes out they were overexaggerating the situation. If you go back to Gridscape, then you know why Brent has been around for over 20 years and is trusted by the university and the members of his site. If someone is being led around by the nose, they are allowing that to happen to themselves.

Not to mention, we have momentum to flip Keys and Hezekiah Harris before the cycle ends. A top 10 WR and a top 100 edge rusher

I really should have clarified that I was talking about the machines (247/ON3/ESPN) and shouldn't have let my post imply I meant Brent/Austin/etc specifically. I don't hear/read them enough anymore to direct comments specifically at them. Not wording that better is on me. I locked onto something GFW was saying (paraphrasing) about how the networks keep the drama going as long as possible to maximize their following saying we should be surprised how these things play out from a drama standpoint. I didn't consider how the post would read given how Hiter's recruitment was trending. And you're 100% right about being led around by the nose: it's on us when we let that happen.

Let’s call a spade a spade. Some guys are dogs and want to play against the best week in and week out. And some just want the easier path when possible. Not calling out the kids ability what so ever, he’s got an insanely high ceiling and would have done well anywhere he went if he kept focused. But man, I thought this guy was just as much of a dog as Tristan Keys, clearly I was wrong.
