Would’ve been fun for stargazers but the Blair move makes more sense. Let SC pay a 6’1 guy tackle money and worry about if he even has the size to play C in the SEC. I think he’s a good player, but there’s a reason he’s elite ranked but not ending up at an elite school.

Not at all saying he’s elite (I have no idea) but not every elite player ends up at an elite school.

USCe pulls some real talent occasionally. Always seems like they have some dudes. And like it or not Beamer is known as a good recruiter.

True but usually there’s a reason. Another example is Nyck Harbor at SC, he was very high ranked but listed as ATH iirc and no one knew for sure what position he was. Now he’s like a 6’5 240 WR, I thought he’d play defense.

Wyatt, had he picked Vandy, would have been another example. Elite ranked but questions about position.

Didn't really think about that. But it does line up with the timeline when we faded away in Gray's recruitment and when AP said efforts to flip Blair started to ramp up. If you look at the 2026 O-line recruits, today's commitment puts us 2 IOL and 2 true OTs.

Which of the 3 OTs are you considering an IOL? I agree that one will probably be shifted inside, but will it be Blair or Shabazz?

People discount what a good mauling guard could do in this offense. Would have been something to see him pulling and lead blocking down the field. But, oh well. Maybe he ends up sucking at the college level? Between the two, losing Hiter stung more.

Man Hiter is fast, and extremely elusive.

But have you seen what we've done with three three stars?

Having Hyatt or Tillman to stretch the field is what we miss.
