They are fans. A billionaire superfan would throw money at the NIL to make a difference. They threw money at the stadium to get their company's name on the field. A billion dollars is an incomprehensible amount of money that nobody could ever need. $25 million is a drop in a bucket for them. That would change Tennessee recruiting overnight but it hasn't happened so I doubt it will.

The stadium naming was not done till after they sold all or majority ownership of Pilot. Of course family money also has to target Cleveland. they supplied field turf to every public high school in Knoxville as they wound down ownership.

They also have funded many academic facilities and pursuits.

They get to choose their own priorities. They do not need to be cheap shotted.

Time for others to step up!

They sold before the naming ordeal. But how do you know if they’re not contributing? I personally don’t like the haslams but how are you so confident they’re not contributing? They have for years

He doesn't know. Like most people discussing the money situation, they just pull their beliefs out of their a$$. We have a lot of big money donors besides the Haslams

Hey you know what, I spoke out of my ass without knowing facts. My fiancé had me doin sh!t all day and I directed her negativity towards the Vols and their donors. That's on me. In a weird way, I kind of started to understand negavols. It's never really the vols that they're mad at, is it?

Because some days I'm too busy to research and I shoot from the hip. Apparently I was wrong, and that's okay. I'd rather learn than double down on a BS. We all BS a little on this website.

Not me. I’m legitimately 6”2 /200 LBS with a six pack of Abs and have never drank more than 3 beers in one day. 🤞. In all seriousness…..good on you for just owning it.

Haslems are the reason we landed the likely number one or two pick in next years NBA draft and why we reloaded the basketball roster so quickly.

Are you sure? I could have sworn to have read that it was Larry Pratt who donated so much to the basketball team this offseason. If you have any link at all saying that they donated money over the last couple of years SPECIFICALLY to securing more NIL money, I'll accept that I was wrong. The whole point of this is that if we DID have a billionaire Tennessee "Superfan", there wouldn't be as many recruiting decisions made based on allocation of funds. I'm just discussing here.

What's with the hostility here? We're just talking, guy. Our NIL could clearly use a boost whether it's from a few big time donations, or a lot more small donations. There are ways that we can help our team besides complaining that we can't keep up with Texas, Georgia, etc.

Jimmy is close to Barnes. Do you think it is a coincidence that you saw them at the baseball game in April with Barnes and days later Nate committed? They gave him some money. And they give a lot to the University.

You know what, I do remember that now. I wasn't aware of direct NIL boosting donations from the Haslam's. I'm appreciative of what they do. I wish there were more people like them. I'll try not to talk out of my ass as much lol
