It's dumb to get butthurt about people choosing not to visit the White House. Doesn't matter who the President is.

Compulsory gestures of "respect" = one of the reasons we said sayonara to the British empire.

Nobody is butthurt just find it funny how some people can be so sensitive. They think they’re standing against something but probably couldn’t even make up a reason why they’re not going.

No, I just wanted to hear an opinion. I could care less one way or another. I like to hear peoples opinions, that does not mean I am going to judge someone for their opinion.

Couldn't care less. Could *not* care less.

Read it. Learn it. Know it. Use it.

They shouldn't even have to have a reason.

How hard is it to come up with an explanation? The civilian body count in Yemen is enough on its own. Maybe they think it would be rude behavior to trash the WH after declining the invitation.

Politely declining is the best way to go for a program.

The reaction to this, once again, shows the blatant hypocrisy by both sides. Back in 2011, when Tim Thomas decided not to visit the White House, he was savaged by the left. Some even went as far as to call him a racist simply because he refused to meet Obama. Back then, people on the right applauded his stance. Fast forward eight years, change the party of the individual who occupies the White House, and you get completely opposite reactions by both sides.
Who is Tim Thomas? Never heard of him.

Did he decide that an entire team wouldn't visit the White House?

This isn't an isolated incident in the Trump presidency.

You don't know who Tim Thomas is, so the hypocrisy is diminished?

It wasn't a team, so it's different, and the hypocrisy is diminished?

It happens more now (after the precedent was set by the other side), so the hypocrisy is diminished?

I'm guessing you're not actually making those points, you're just deflecting.

Even after having valid reasons for not being ABLE to make the visit, there are those in this thread that turn it political.
