Lol. So no president ever should be visited by anyone ever.

Yemen isnt even our mess. Yeah he vetoed but it would still be just as bad without u.

I wouldn't be honored to visit the office of the person who takes $ from me and uses it to end innocent lives. You may think that's humorous, but to each his own.

Pick another country where we're culpable in the deaths of innocents, then. He's making you complicit, against your will (hopefully).

I am all for cutting spending. I am the one dumb arse here who did the math on how to fix the budget, brought here, and argued for it.

But you are holding an impossible standard. It's like you bought Jimmy John's and the owner goes out and humps dead sharks. Are you responsible for the nnecroiphiliatic beastilality your purchase helped fund? I would say no.

Individuals are responsible for themselves and their own actions. Not for those by others, even in their name. That's pretty authoritarian of you huff.

Nice rant but I never said I was responsible. We as a country are culpable, but you and I are not responsible as individuals. "Complicit" means something else.

What is the impossible standard, exactly? Holding this specific POTUS to what was a campaign promise, or just the general idea that POTUS shouldn't be killing innocents in efforts that don't protect America?

Uh, the culpability part. That's the impossible standard.

We dont pay taxes for a specific purpose. At least as far as the military goes, SS is one of the few specific taxes we pay.

He is the president, it's his job to make those decisions. Doesnt mean we have to like him or always agree, or even go visit him. Although the bowing thing made me laugh. Although once again people, not just you, are holding Trump to a double standard. I dont remember you arguing teams should boycott Obama, or anyone else.

He sucks, they suck, we all suck. I dont see how this incident raises to a level that needs to be handled by boycotting. Plenty of reasons not go to, besides just not wanting to, and those listed in the article.

I edited my last post because I knew you would come back with this.

What does this have to do with anything? You pay for the government to do stuff, and this is one of the things the government is doing.

Muahahaha, at least 9/10 my post history backs me up. This is my response in the Tim Thomas boycott thread:

This was awesome.

This is now the norm. I think these guys know if they want to eat burgers with a racist, they can just take their grandpa to Wendy's. Why take the trip and get dressed in a suit for that?

So I have had a discussion with liberal friends. It wasn't necessarily about if I support Trump or not. The #1 reason leftists hate Trump is because he is a racist. Labeling a person a racist ends every argument or debate, and you no longer have to bring anything else credible to the table.

Liberal and socialist policy positions are down to conspiracy, free, higher taxes, racists, reparations, soup lines and abolish ICE. Most of which any sensible person knows are not possible and the rest are half crazy like Sanders and the band of freshmen.

Not for me. There's plenty more on the table as far as he goes.

The communist left uses the word racism so much it has lost it's meaning and doesn't scare many people anymore

You knew I would call you on a bs point? good.

And it's up to an individual in the government to.decide what to do with that money. I keep the blaim where it belongs on that individual. No need to assign blame to others that weren't involved.

Tim Thomas is a red herring to the argument at hand. It's not politics that UVA is not going. It's almost literally the opposite of him. People are wanting to assign Tim Thomas like reasons to the refusal, but that's just to make themselves feel better about their outlook on Trump and not the truth of the matter.

So you would agree that it's more than just the extreme factions of the left that overuse the word "racism," PJ?
I believe it is similar on both sides. I believe racism is often called where it's just sheer stupidity on display. I also believe real examples of racism are dismissed by too many because they don't want to change a system that's weighted in their favor.

Very few really want an honest discussion about race because but sides have to face some pretty uncomfortable realities

I would like an honest discussion about ethnicity and the uncomfortable realities. It is nearly impossible to judge intent which is where much of the race debate ends up.

If it were me I would absolutely accept an invitation to the WH regardless of who lives there at the time. There's not many Forrest Gumps out there so it could be a once in a lifetime experience.

If people think a cause has gone too far, they often start to believe the cause is not justified at all. Just mention the words "toxic masculinity" and people's butts will pucker. NM that there is a real and undesirable phenomenon that is adequately described by the term, the fact that it's misattributed all the time has people disgusted merely at the idea that there are college courses about this topic.

Is there anything we can take for our toxic masculinity? LMAO.
