UT vs Vandy and it doesn't look good

Wow your the first one the point to the Colts and Manning but it's an assumption on your part. The Colts have gone down hill in every area the past few years and even with Manning that team wouldn't be a superbowl type team. Everyone seems to forget that with Peyton last year the Colts were 10-6.

They still made the playoffs.

Have you watched any film on us? I hate Vandy with a passion but at least they play with confidence and don't quit after 30 minutes. Hate Franklin all you want but his players believe in him more then our players believe in Dooley. (imo)

That's what I am saying.

This may be the first game UT vs VU where I think they have the upper hand. I only hope we come to play. Although I am a supporter of Dooley 100% if he loses to Vandy, it won't be pleasant for him when fans start riding him.

So you think Vandy caught UF with all their guns? Seemingly we are the only one who caught them healthy. Despite what anybody may say, I think Bray will play. That is the difference maker. Also UGA beat us by 8 and UF by 10 respectively. Arkansas was ugly but, here comes a sea of negativity... but we blew at least 8 plays that cost us gravely against Arkansas on the scoreboard one way or the other.

IMO UT Wins 31-17 with Bray. No Bray Vandy 24-21.
z But but but but....sheesh.

When they beat us in 05 it became appearant we were vunerable from then on out. The fact that we can't beat any good teams and may lose to Vandy should wake a lot of people up.

We beat Vandy with or without Bray. It is Vandy and they have beaten Ole Miss and UK. We will win the game and it won't be that close. This may have been the worst Tennessee team I have watched over the past five weeks but we will still end the season with wins over Vandy and Kentucky.

The past few years? Two years ago they could have had an undefeated season but rested their starters and went to a Superbowl.

frankin coaches vandy the same way kiffie coached here. plays to keep it close so he can run his mouth and pump sunshine up peoples asses. im glad our staff takes chances and goes for it on 4th downs at times.
personally i think we're gonna blow vandy out of the stadium, ive been watching film of them all day, not impressed with vandy or franklin.
You obviously watching ten years old film of vandy, people talk like you know what you are talking about, not none of this nonsense about blowing vandy out, remember Bray hasn't played since Georgia and this may be the game to gett us.

It does piss me off a little bit that Franklin has brought confidence and great play calling to Vandy. I am still not sure what DD has brought to UT except a top notch qb in Bray. What does DD do well? I mean with all due respect...what is his nitch?

Hate to say it but Dooley did not bring in Bray, Kiffin did. Bray was here on campus when Kiffin was still our head coach. Props to Dooley for keeping Bray here though.

Again, as its been said many times before, they are loaded with upperclassmen and Franklin, being a breath of fresh air, is taking advantage of that. Get back to me next year when they are back to their perennial last place spot in the East.Posted via VolNation Mobile

Why would we take such a drastic step backwards? Last depth chart I saw, we have all of 4 senior starters. 1 on offense and 3 on defense. That means we get back 18/22 starters plus our kicker and punter. With Franklin's improved recruiting, I see Vandy getting better rather than worse

Our staff is horrible. i was watching that punt return td last night and thought...how are we arm tackling like that. It was like he was spinning in place and we missed 23 tackles. This is when we are down only 7-0. So we either have a talent disparity or they aren't coached well at all. DD should have made a change in the off season. He better this year. And we only beat mtsu 24-0. No way we come close to blowing Vandy out. This will be a 4 quarter battle.

Can you please enlighten us to your obvious stellar football playing and coaching credentials?

You're making absolute statements as though you are in the know. "our staff is horrible"........again, you know this because??????

While you're at it, list your credentials and successess as an evaluator.

Thanks

Because the entire SEC east won't be down next year. Ole Miss probably will be again, but Vandy will have a much tougher schedule next season. Who has Vandy beat so far who was not pathetic or in a mid-level or lower conference?

I am trying to be as optimistic as anyone, but the way this team has played this year, I won't be counting Vandy or UK as automatic wins. This team should win, but they have also found ways to shoot themselves in the foot a few too many times.

I tend to agree withoyou regarding Vandy, but I think you can count KY. I think Memphis and/or MTSU could beat KY right now.

didnt say we had beaten anyone major. much as yall havent. we have come very close a few times under a first year head coach and should improve a ton by next year. we are way ahead of kentucky and at the minimum, even with UT. I also dont see a reason we cant beat florida and/or south carolina next year. i am not saying we win all of those, but we cant be counted out of any of those either.

Sorry but you're not even with UT and will continue to fall farther behind based on the players coming in.

Agree with TN being way down. But, you are admitting Vandy is possibly only even to TN at this point, and Vandy is considered to be having one of their best seasons ever. (That's the big difference.)

Vandy has traditionally played teams tough to end up falling in the end. This goes back as far as Dinardo (sp). I don't see what's different there.

I do agree that Vandy is even or even slighty ahead of TN right now, but compare the rosters. Vandy is full of upper classmen whereas TN is full of Freshmen and sophmores. FL is similar to TN regarding youth.

Lattimore will be back next season for USCjr, so that sort of ends Vandy's shot against them next season.

Vanderbilt's best win is against the #75 best team, which was at home. They are 0-3 on the road.

UGA completely outplayed them and were under control the entire game against Vandy with a 20-7 halftime lead and 33-21 4th quarter lead. Granted, Vandy has Arkansas, but blew it in typical Vandy fashion. They played a beat up UF team, who also controlled the game the entire game and won due to having better athletes.

We are having a down year but we have six national titles. What do you have?

We have more talent than vandy. Hands down. But, we are not playing to our talent level and don't have a ton of experience. We need Bray back. Not so much due to his abilities as a player, but due to his leadership. The other guys respect him and will play harder I think. You can tell by some of their comments lately they need someone to lead. This years team is lacking a solid leader week in and week out. At some point our guys have to step up and play hard for 4 quarters. The young/inexperience explanation is about to go away. We are ten games in the season now.

Kiffin's ee had already started classes and couldn't have left if they wanted to. Really tired of hearing how he swooped in and saved the day. Classes had started, those EE's would have had to sit out a year if they left so please can we put this to bed.

Kiffin's pet gorilla by his own admission and even Bray's statement made a call to the recruits on a speaker phone trying to get them to not attend classes so they could leave the university. I'm not and never was angry LK left, it was how he left that disgusts me, anger is too kind a word or state for him and his gorilla.

He helped salvage Kiffin's class, that included Bray, and that cannot be understated. He recruits extremely well given the circumstance he is in. I personally cannot wait until Dooley does turn it around and every single fair-weather Vol fan will come clamoring back singing his praises. I hate people like that.

I agree i live in middle Tn and its full of fair weather fans.
