UT vs Vandy and it doesn't look good

I went to the AR @ Vandy game, and the Tennessee @ AR game last night.

Clearly, Tennessee has better athletes. Quicker. Faster. Stronger. Tennessee will be outcoached if last night was an indicator.

Coach Franklin's athletes are not the best at their positions, but he manages to put each one in the best position, at the right time. He's very smart.

That's how smart coaches beat better athletes.

frankin coaches vandy the same way kiffie coached here. plays to keep it close so he can run his mouth and pump sunshine up peoples asses. im glad our staff takes chances and goes for it on 4th downs at times.
personally i think we're gonna blow vandy out of the stadium, ive been watching film of them all day, not impressed with vandy or franklin.

Let me enlighten you. Stability is obvious. You would have to be brain-dead to not know how having Dooley allows UT to get back on even footing after the Fulmer-Kiffin debacle. Pride, also obvious. He bought into UT, and has his players buying into UT. The VFL program is nice to see. There is no doubt he is intelligent. He knows what he is doing, the problem is that he doesn't have the pieces to fully implement it. And recruiting is also obvious. We are on pace to bring in a top 10 class this year. That is good to see with all of the problems UT has had of late. And I know that UT typically sells itself, but Dooley and his staff still have to evaluate the talent and lets not pretend that every recruit we have in this class would've come to UT regardless of who was coaching here.

Thanks for the enlightenment. So after we go 5-7 as this team unravels week after week and we lose potential future top recruits I would like to here more about how you came up with the stability DD brings.

Please show me where we are losing recruits? I would surely hope that the recruits we have know the situation Tennessee is in. If they don't, I'm not sure if they should even play here.

I don't think we have the staff to be honest

Our staff is horrible. i was watching that punt return td last night and thought...how are we arm tackling like that. It was like he was spinning in place and we missed 23 tackles. This is when we are down only 7-0. So we either have a talent disparity or they aren't coached well at all. DD should have made a change in the off season. He better this year. And we only beat mtsu 24-0. No way we come close to blowing Vandy out. This will be a 4 quarter battle.

Do we beat Vandy Sat? And if so by how much? And how are we gonna do it? Running all over them? Strong air attack? SPecial teams? DD opening his brain and outcoaching Franklin?

alot of the recruits in this years class know they have a good shot at playing next year. our oline will be shored up and i think tiny plays in place of thomas, anywhere else we can have some guys help out of this class. i think santos will be a guy that helps quickly.

lol go research our punt and kickoff coverage for the season, or is it 1 play that determines they're coached poorly.

it's also been said that depending on how we finish will impact the recruits we have already. Alot of coaches would use Dooley can't even beat Vandy why would you go there ?

According to some people we are loaded with talent. So how do these players fit in next year. I am with you that our roster is depleted. But I'm just saying.

Lol nice deflection...but I'll roll with it. I never said anywhere that beating Vandy was a lock. In fact, I said that it will be a tough game. But yes, personally I think we win. Being at home is beneficial.

alot of the kids from this year can get into the 2deep and play alot of sp. i think aurty has a chance to start from day 1 along the dline along with jacobs.

I think that also hurt us in 05 when they beat us. If correct that lead to our weak teams in 07 til now.

show me another oline in the country that sarts 4 sophs and play well. its not like bama where we have a couple of seniors that will be drafted on the first day to go along with a dj fluker and a couple jrs.
our line will be much better next year, jr year is normally where the college strength and cond really shows up.

1. Vandy almost beat Arky, Uf, and UGA. Three teams that dominated us.
2. They have good qb play and play 60 min and don't lack confidence.
3. We seem to be getting worse where last year we turned the corner.

I am going to the game and supporting my team...but am I the only one who now thinks Vandy is a better overall squad than us in 2011? I am trying to think of the reasons why we beat these guys. In my mind they are the favorites and we have to have everything go right to win. How do we do that? What's our game plan?

And not 1 win on the road..We get Bray back and win. Vandy is still Vandy they find ways to lose.
