Because the answer is obvious. I can assure you that any student at UT, male or female COULD get into a greek organization if they wanted. There is a selection process, but that is why you look at more than one fraternity.
I guess the entire university shouldn't exist, since its paid for by taxpayer dollars and gets to tell certain taxpayer's children that they can't attend school there right? Guess the military shouldn't exist, not everyone can get into it, but its tax payer funded. UT only pays for the LAND the houses are on. The house itself is built by alumni. Every university in the country basically pays for fraternity/sorority housing. Some even pay 100% of the building costs.
