I can't find video of it, but I clearly remember Smokey coming out after half time, breaking loose and making a bee-line for the opposing team's (Pretty sure it was Kentucky) kicker who was warming up on the other side of the 50. He whiffed but it was hilarious to watch. The handler got him as he made his turn to attempt another chomp.

I was there and you are correct. It was Smokey IX during his last season before he retired. It was hilarious!
