Great, so now are shelling out speculative accusations that the victim of a gun crime asked for drugs and brought robbery on himself?

Wow, where is ksusha when you need an eyewitness things like that?

Between Vader and Ksusha, maybe by the end of the week we can have this guy brought up on obstruction of justice and filing a false report...

You know what I think you hit a good point there. I have lived here my whole life so I probably know what to do and what not to do. So I guess for some country bumpkin that only goes to town for groceries and gas then maybe Memphis is dangerous. But bottom line is Memphis isn't any more dangerous than any other city in America of comparable size and diversity.

Calm down. The student was a victim - no question. People are just questioning all the facts that are given. That's all - plain conjecture.

I attended the game, was on Beale afterwards, and am very familiar with Silky's and the area. There are some big holes in this guy's story.

I freely admit that my speculation was uncalled for and that is why I made it disappear. I regret that it sat on the board for a couple of minutes for some to respond to it. I was wildly speculating why a young man surrounded by thousands of people would be easily led to a secluded alley. That is all.

Once again, he was not aware of the gun until after he was steered into the alley.

I'm calm as I can be.

I'll tell you the same thing I told Mrs. Runermouth, having holes in your story is a long way from cooking up the idea this kid solicited someone for drugs.

I don't think anyone was going to testify in court that this was the case. The possibility was put forward that this may be an explanation. Don't go overboard!

Just think, if Ksusha was on street patrol that night in Memphis, your story could easily become fact and she'd just stood there and watched it happen.

I'm going overboard b/c I reject that it's ok for someone to insinuate a kid they don't know from Adam, asked for drugs and was robbed as a result of this, then blatantly lied to police about it?

Some of you people have no other description than just being an absolute joke.

Throw him a life preserver! I simply stated that it is a possibility. The fact is none of us know. I do remember hearing that there was a ufo sighting in the area. He was probably abducted and was missing time. when he came to he was in an alley being robbed. There is that one ok with you?

I'm taking the one eyewitnesses word that he isn't a drug user and he was robbed in a city known for how dangerous it can be.

Seriously, man, on a public forum a lot of ideas are bound to be bandied about. Mine was a kneejerk reaction to some of the inconsistencies pointed out in the guys story.

You will not receive any warnings if you continue to express yourself without resorting to profanity or flaming.

I never cooked up a story,( Go back and quote me if you like) I stated that the thought that he MIGHT have been looking for some party favors crossed my mind. This is how things get blown out of proportion. One person puts forth a theory, someone is offended by that theory and makes a HUGE deal out of it. The next thing you know there is a congressional investigation into the matter.:no:

It is absolutely not illogical hatred of Memphis.

It's my hatred for people who have no reason to accuse people who aren't here to defend themselves of committing crimes they can't back up or prove.

It's hard for me to grasp why you don't see that, as smart as you are and as much as you base many of your posts on facts and not just opinion. I would think you'd understand where I'm coming from.
