UT/Montana great pay per view FAQ thread

The replay should be up on ESPN3 after the game shouldn't it? I may be wrong, but I think that's how they have done them in the past.

Well, I just checked ESPN3's schedule for Saturday, and it says that the UT Montana game will be on ESPN3 at 6. I hope that's correct, and we can watch live.

For those that do get ESPN3 there is an iPhone app, WatchESPN, that allows you to watch on the phone.

wow I just checked and my isp has the espn3! This is great because "we" (wife) just cut are cable way back cause they kept jacking up the cost and i no longer had espn 1 or 2 and was going to miss alot of good games this year. Cant wait:clapping:

I think it will be blacked out in TN.

Any idea whether they will be able to black it out on the iPhone if you are in TN? I'm not sure how the technology works. If not this will be perfect for me since I could watch while still going to my son's game. Win/win!

I believe it can be blacked out by ip address. You can also try the justintv app. It worked for me last year.

Anyone know if Justin TV, Channelsurfing or any other venue will be streaming the game? I haven't been able to find anything except PPV. Thanks.

Wont work because you are getting ESPN3 through your IP......which is located in Tennessee

Did it last year. Your logic is silly. I pay for ESPN3 through my cable provider. I can then use my ESPN3 account that I get through my cable provider on my mobile devices (phone, laptop, etc.). If I was in Texas with my laptop during the Montana weekend, why would I get blacked out?

My mistake....I didnt read very clearly. Was reading the other ESPN3 question about the xbox and got confused. You should be able to with a laptop or Iphone, but will not be able to with your 360

your only hope will be some of those "other" internet sites that you can't really mention on here.

there have literally been 8 million threads about this in the last 2 months.... if you're in the UT market it will be blacked out on espn3 and you have to order the PPV or u cant watch it..... if you're outside the market however you can simply watch on espn3. it's going to appear on the espn3 schedule regardless b/c it is a game that they're broadcasting, but if you try to watch it in the UT market you won't be able to

Vol Network's coverage looks terrible, and the commentary will be even worse. That being said, at least we're getting it out of the way early and won't have to see it anymore.

Someone on this forum maintains that the video is of pristine quality when it leaves the stadium, and it's what someone does to it afterwards that makes it look like hell. Always gives me hope that it will "be better this year"...but so far I've just been disappointed.

It will be produced in HD. If it's not in HD where you are, that's on your cable company for not picking it up in HD, don't blame Vol Network.

I live in Bristol, TN, but work in Bristol, VA. So my work laptop would have a VA IP address. Do you think I might be able to pick it up on espn3?

Yes, I've read them but that's not what my thread topic was about, I was asking about the broadcasting quality but the discussion did turn into espn3.

I (and my other Vols brethren around these parts) win the award for worst luck on PPV games. I live in North GA and have Charter. However, apparently (according to Charter) I am on a Charter "system" that is a Tennessee system. So, even though I live in GA, the game is blacked-out on GamePlan and ESPN3. And, I don't have the VideoSeat option.

Someone said on a similar thread last month that within a couple hours of kick-off there will be a thread on there with a link to someone streaming it online. Does anybody remember that?

I am leaving on a cruise Sept. 10 at 4:00pm (Carnival Dream). I know, horrible timing. Im freaking out about possibly not seeing the Cincy game. Does anyone know if there is ESPN2 available on this Cruise? Its on ESPN3 but I dont believe it works while using Verizon wireless card. If anyone has any insite or suggestion for me I would really appreciate it.

People out of state? We don't have comcast in Indiana. I was curious what channel I would tell Bw3s to turn it to for me..

Ready for the season!
