UT Memorabilia

utfantilidie,

A few came directly from the university, and a bunch came from Scott Kent at collegejersey.com. Scott snapped up a ton that had been stashed in boxes somewhere in the depths of Neyland Stadium; they were from 1989-96, although some of the big-name players (Helton, Manning, Kent, Al Wilson) were missing. A Peerless Price from that buy was sold for over $700.

As far as what remains, check out their website at collegejersey.com or check them on eBay.

Let's see here.....I saw this topic and had to register. Granted, this isn't like a couple of the others on here, but here's my jersey collection. All are either game-worn or game-issued.

WHITE
1989 Charles McRae
1993 Kevin Mays
1994 Marcus Nash w/200-year patch
1994 Bill Duff w/200-year patch (autographed)
1995/96 Brent Gibson
1995/96 Dwayne Goodrich
1995/96 Shaun Ellis
1995/96 Spencer Riley
1995/96 Chad Clifton
1998 (title year!) Ron Green
2002 Sean Young (this had the orange inserts)
2003 Scott Wells
unknown #77....it's either Josh Tucker from '98 or Michael Munoz from 2000 (I'm 95% certain it's Tucker)

ORANGE
1993 Mose Phillips
1995 Trey Teague (recycled from 1993)
1995 Jarvis Reado
1996 Raynoch Thompson
1996 Billy Ratliff
1996 Ron Green
1996 Mercedes Hamilton
1996 Chad Clifton
1996 Trey Teague
1996 Spencer Riley
1996 Darwin Walker
2002 Sean Young
2002 Keyon Whiteside (this one has an astounding 17 team repairs on it)

I also have a dog named Smokey II who appears to be a Doberman/Magyar Vizsla mutt. He earned his stripes by chewing up three books in three months, all of which came from my dad's Ohio State collection, while leaving the UT stuff alone.

If you need to see pics on any of the above, I have them online at http://community.webshots.com/user/rockytopreb/ (Don't worry, that Auburn jersey has been sold)

As far as other stuff goes (programs, ticket stubs, etc) that's scattered all over the place and I couldn't begin to track it.

Awesome collection! :post-20645-1119625378:

Hell, I have alot of stuff. I don't think I can remember it all.

I know I have ticket stubs from almost every game I;ve ever been to. I had a ticket book I used to put them in, but I filled that up and have yet to get another.

I've also got a football signed by Peyton, a napkin signed by Heath Shuler, and another football signed by the entire 1998 team (a mass produced print, though, I must say).

I also have a picture of the fans on the field after the '98 UF game, signed by Jeff Hall.

Oh yeah, I have a mini helmet signed by John Henderson.

And a bunch of shot glasses, media guides, programs, and other various stuff that has very little meaning to anyone but myself. It's mostly store bought stuff, but the more orange, the better.

I had a twig from the hedges taken after the '98 UF game, but it crumbled after awhile.

I have a jersey that my uncle wore when he played in Knoxville back in the 50's. It's one of the old tear-away jerseys.

By the way, if anyone has any interest in moving the game jerseys you own, let me know...

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew of a place online that I can order old covers of Sports Illustrated for cheap because I'm looking to get some old Volunteers ones and maybe some Titans ones to frame and hang up. I would rather them not have a label on them with someone's address and stuff on there. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Let's see, other than the usual things that one picks up here and there
1. a miniature orange football signed by Corey Fleming
2. a plaque from the AD Bob Woodruff and Coach Majors presented to my Dad when he rode the walking horse at the game back in 1979
3. a 1985 Coke bottle never been opened from the SEC championship (they must have been popular)
4. a whole carton of unopened Cokes in bottles from the National Championship 1998
5. a wooden football laser engraved with the Vols logo, National Champions 1998, and an inset gold medallion
6. a signed and framed 22x28 print by Greg Gamble entitled "In Command" with Peyton Manning depicted against Alabama with the score 41-14 by the Vols
7. a "Barbie" cheerleader in Tennessee outfit
8. an unopened "starting lineup" figurine collection featuring Peyton in Vols uniform and Colts uniform
9. a Peyton Manning rookie card (have Eli's and Archie's also)
10. a signed book "You Can Go Home Again" by Johnny Majors and a signed Pat Summitt book "Reach For The Summit" (I've got Fulmer's book "A Perfect Season" and a book called "Neyland - The Gridiron General" but they are not signed)
11. an unopened box of Wheaties with Peyton on it and an unopened box of "PeytonO's" cereal
12. 2 Peyton bobbleheads in Colts uniform
13. Signed mini helmet of Peyton with the Colts
14. Signed mini helmet of Heath Shuler with the Redskins
15. Signed and Framed picture of Heath Shuler in Redskins uniform
16. UT wallclock, UT wallphone that plays Rocky Top when it rings (had to turn the sound off ... driving me crazy), UT logo golfballs, assorted cups, mugs, tumblers, caps, leather jacket, teddy bears, sunglasses, daybed set, lamps, trashcan, videos, magazines, Christmas ornaments, Smokey figurines, helmet piggybank, diecast cars, etc. etc. etc.

I just remembered, a 1968 Christmas card of the Cincinnati Bengals sent to supporters in the Bengals first year with signatures of players. This is special because the starting QB was Dewey Warren and the starting center was Bob Johnson .... both had just graduated from Tennessee.
