Well, the story I got...
They brought one of the posts to Presidential Courtyard where I lived my freshman year ('98) and the students started breaking it up and doling out pieces.
My roommate grabbed two chunks. I was with my parents and g/f who came up for the weekend, so for all I know it could be a piece of beer can, but I'd like to think I could trust my old roommate and its a much better story! LOL

Tartan Turf in a frame and numbered. (End zone orange and white checker board.)

Personalized autographed Payton Manning and Leonard Little Jerseys in a shadow box.

Photo signed (this tells my age) with Steve Kiner and myself on my first day at UT.

Ever home ticket and the National Championship game stubs from the National Championship season (now framed) along with the headline from the Phoenix paper the morning after and anything else that could be found or purchased from that season. Also have VHS (now on DVD) of every game that season. Don’t ask me why but we kept winning and I kept collecting.

Actually my home office even makes my friends scratch their heads, so these are just my favorite items and ones that nothing or no one could ever talk me out of. So call me a homer but you either love the “Big Orange” or you just like them.

One of the stories that I was told was that they took one of the goalpost to the Fire Station in Fort Sanders and the firemen used some kind of industrial saw and cut off small pieces for everyone. Not sure if thats accurate or not since after I left the field I headed straight for the bars. If the did I missed it on my stumble back to Grand Forrest Apts. Ahhhhhhh the memories!!!!!!!!!!!

I also heard the other one was chucked into the river.

Whether or not either story is true, I know part of one of them is now hanging in the Rocky Top Books store on the strip (the one down by Old College Inn).

Let's see here.....I saw this topic and had to register. Granted, this isn't like a couple of the others on here, but here's my jersey collection. All are either game-worn or game-issued.

WHITE
1989 Charles McRae
1993 Kevin Mays
1994 Marcus Nash w/200-year patch
1994 Bill Duff w/200-year patch (autographed)
1995/96 Brent Gibson
1995/96 Dwayne Goodrich
1995/96 Shaun Ellis
1995/96 Spencer Riley
1995/96 Chad Clifton
1998 (title year!) Ron Green
2002 Sean Young (this had the orange inserts)
2003 Scott Wells
unknown #77....it's either Josh Tucker from '98 or Michael Munoz from 2000 (I'm 95% certain it's Tucker)

ORANGE
1993 Mose Phillips
1995 Trey Teague (recycled from 1993)
1995 Jarvis Reado
1996 Raynoch Thompson
1996 Billy Ratliff
1996 Ron Green
1996 Mercedes Hamilton
1996 Chad Clifton
1996 Trey Teague
1996 Spencer Riley
1996 Darwin Walker
2002 Sean Young
2002 Keyon Whiteside (this one has an astounding 17 team repairs on it)

I also have a dog named Smokey II who appears to be a Doberman/Magyar Vizsla mutt. He earned his stripes by chewing up three books in three months, all of which came from my dad's Ohio State collection, while leaving the UT stuff alone.

If you need to see pics on any of the above, I have them online at http://community.webshots.com/user/rockytopreb/ (Don't worry, that Auburn jersey has been sold)

As far as other stuff goes (programs, ticket stubs, etc) that's scattered all over the place and I couldn't begin to track it.

If that # 77 is a Michael Munoz jersey, I know of a guy that post on here that (may be rich) that would give you top dollar for it...........How did you get all of those jerseys? My wife is from Michigan so good luck being up north and being a vol fan. :banghead:

There's an easy way to tell if it is a Munoz jersey. If it has grass stains all over the back, it's his.

I have a bunch of stuff. Perhaps my favorite is a small patch of grass that was taken from the field after the 98 Florida game. It was planted, still growing and has been treated with love ever since.
You're the one!............That really was a neat idea.
