No offense to Mr. Brohm, but he's an unknown at this level.

And will we also inherit his staff? How good can they be?

With as much $$$ as we're waving around, why must we suffer with the risk of unknown?

It's not only embarrassing it's illogical.

Why? Because our program is a joke right now. I don’t think some of you realize the severity of what has happened in this past week. We are the laughing stock of CF at this moment. Our recruiting class is going to take a hit, and anyone with eyeballs can see the trash of a team we currently have at this point with the exception of a few good talents.

We could wave 20 mil a year in some coaches faces right now and they still wouldn’t come. You guys aren’t grasping money logic very much. For lots of us that prob make say 50-150K, we just can’t fathom why someone wouldn’t come here a few more mil a year. If your already making 3-4 mil a year, then that extra 2 mil doesn’t really make or break you. When your already rich, quality of the job, environment, and stability are a big factor. If you haven’t noticed, UT has none of those right now. These big name coaches aren’t bums in an alley fighting over a fifth of liquor. They’ve already made it.

UT had a preliminary conversation with Brohm, but it's unclear if anything will come from it. It makes zero sense why a coach would stay at Purdue vs. Tennessee. If things go south with Brohm look for Morris or Doeren. I know...it sucks. I hope my contact is wrong.

So you like Norvell, a guy who is WINNING with your other choice's recruits, over a guy who instantly got Purdue bowl-eligible in one season after 4 straight years of steaming garbage?

Give me a break.

My point with Saban was just that you CANNOT base everything about the potential of a coach on his first season. To me, it shows potential that he improved Purdue as much as he did in Year 1, not that he IS the next Saban. My point is that Saban still had to take his lumps regardless of how good he is/was in 2007 because of the state of the program.

I will never understand half of this fan base's obsession with Lane Kiffin. It's frankly beyond comprehension. If there was any evidence that he was capable of the greatness that these people seem to think he is, that would be one thing, but there just isn't. The only thing he's shown is that he's a good offensive coordinator. Everything else is just wishcasting on a guy who screwed us over, and is a significant percentage of the reason we're in this mess to begin with. He's been a failure everywhere he's been as a head coach so far (Florida Atlantic pending).
