Uruguay Marijuana Law "Illegal" per UN

If weed was legal this would've never happened.

When things are legalized, you mitigate a lot of the criminal activity associated with it. Prohibition is an excellent example of this. Will all crime associated with it go away? Of course not, I dont think anyone is suggesting as such.

That's great. What kind of restoration did they do?

Basically took a bunch of foreclosed properties (mostly uninhabitable Victorians around E. Knox/N. Knox) and did a gut and resto. We rented out most of them and privately sold them to good people. We never went the section 8 route since that defeated the general purpose.

What education is needed to be a bar tender?:eek:lol:

For high volume? About 5 years bar experience, 3 bartending, and a good decade's worth of people skills, street smarts, and general quickness/mental acuity.

Most people can't do my job without these, and I only do it 2-3 days a week. I suggest you and your graduating classmate find new material :)

My kids have waited tables in a high volume restaurant for several years. They developed some damn good people skills in the process. Mixing drinks can be taught. Dealing with *******s while you are doing it is an entirely different story. btw......sometimes the biggest *******s are the ones working at the restaurant.

I'll agree, depending on the venue of course. I get the impression you're not tending at some 2 bit dive where the people outnumber the teeth.

I agree but we actually have a really solid staff. No pillheads, blowhards, or douchebags. That's rare in a bar staff of roughly 30 people.
