UPDATED Tim Banks a potential candidate for Miami and Clemson DC

That was the talk on reddit earlier from what i saw, most of the clemson folk on their also thought the banks mention was an agent play for money.

What I thought the whole time. Kind of pisses me off to be honest. Hard to attract talent via portal when your DC is sniffing around for more money for a lateral move.

Banks never was a candidate for these jobs, all that was about is Banks' agent trying to keep Banks at UT by making him look more desirable. Isn't that obvious?

Yes, but I doubt that this episode from Banks has had any impact on transfers. Most transfers are looking at the Cash. Interesting that Bellichick didn't show interest in Banks, since Banks is such a hot commodity.. I'm not buying it.

I’ve been critical of him at times but overall I m a fan of Banks. Think he’s done a solid job here. I want him to get a good job as a HC elsewhere but a lateral move? Just puts program in a bad light to me but like you said I guess it is just the nature of the beast.

Danny probably would like to, but I'm afraid Hype is akin to Fulmer. Loyal to a fault. If there are no staff changes we will know the answer.

Clearly. Wasn't a candidate nor was he ever leaving a job he knows he's not gonna get fired from, until a HC opportunity comes available but I don't see that happening. Maybe a small school.

Idk so much about that. I think more likely we will hear after next year. It was a very tough gig when everyone jumped in, they’ve done overall a good job. Although you could point to a few positions and say development has been lacking. Tennessee is in a much better place than it was when Heupel took the job.

Dooley let Wilcox walk going into a year with one of the top offenses in history and hired a guy to change completely the defense

Butch canned Jancek in favor of Shoop who was a roller coaster of emotion.....


Heupel needs to keep Banks, but I think we are at a point where some tough convos need to be had about upgrading the staff....
