I guess we'll know by Monday if this has any legs. I think that's the right approach but if you don't think that Dooley was spitting "coach speak" in regards to where they are in the search, you're crazy.

It is "know" versus "no". Some of you don't realize how much the misuse of the written word states about a person's credibility...

Look at the OP's post....It is not a conjured up story...Well written and formatted....It sells and yes booster's and the program allows this information to get out because they get tired of the phone calls.....

There are several credible sources stating the same story of which some have been for several days. I think this group along with CDD have certain outlets to the media that have use before....there is one that is currently three for three in the last month....Stokes, Arnett story, Wilcox departure and stated the CRS deal two days ago...

Think we are seeing a who is in the know in the Knox Media....and the old is out through these type releases.

Three liked rumors from three different sources equals fact....Shannon will be at UT as DC.

Would imagine there he will have protections similar to Grahams...with a much larger $$$ amount...all speculative of course.

This is the kind of contract you don't announce until it is done...if it is in the works at all.

There was also a lot of stuff said about Jimmy Cheek trying to put his hand in things without the blessing of Haslem on many things and there is a big power struggle at the top right now.

I hope all that political stuff at the top in no way messes up an attempt to get a top notch DC.

People need to face the facts as they stand right now. There are only a handful of people that know EXACTLY what is going on right now. Everything is hearsay. I don't care how much smoke is around.

again Cornrich is a relentless negotiator and will make sure randy is covered regardless of what happens with DD... That is the only road block I see... Steele is a band-aid but RS is the cast that can remedy this situation.

I am not the one picking apart the OP's story....I have no credibility....LOL.....Not worried about it....As we drift off the main story....Yes, there is fire and smoke when you connect all the dots......

There are truly only 2. Hart and Dooley.

That doesn't keep people from asking questions, especially when UT wants to use boosters private planes for conducting business.

They have to put in special clauses giving Shannon buy outs and incentives. They have to make sure he is aware Jay Graham is non negotiable and here even if Dooleys is fired. They have to worry about Shannon leaving to be HC at an SEC school. I would want to prevent that as much as possible. Go be a HC sure just not in our conference or atleast Division. I would want a clauses protecting us against him leaving for UF, USClite and UGA. These are things a real AD puts in whereas Hamilton always left us vulnerable.
