Too much smoke for this not to be happening. I remember Steele two years ago, the info leaked out about 4 days before he reconsidered.

Don't know Docvol so maybe I'm being overly skeptical. Just all the stuff about overruling Dooley and Dooley just said in his presser yesterday that we were very early in the process and were going to take our time. I guess we'll know by Monday if this has any legs. Not calling anyone a liar, just not holding my breath, either, and I think all the people getting really excited might want to temper it a bit so they won't be let down again come Tuesday.

Info is good, fun to read, and no doubt sincerely posted. I would still suggest moving forward with cautious optimism. Don't count those chickens until the eggs are hatched.

Not true..Boosters love to talk and Bragg about what they know, have and contribute. This story sounds very legit.

I don't really buy the "overruled" part as it's presented. I can believe Hart and Dooley had talks and Hart had opinions on Steele from their previous stop together.

I agree it sure seems like there is too much smoke not to be something going on unless this story is fabricated and keeps getting passed around as truth. Meaning the OP and the booster believe it as true but the booster was misinformed. The big issue is Hubbs says RS isn't a top candidate as well as I am told from a top booster I know that members of the staff are saying RS isn't getting the job. The point is I think we are giving way too much credit to the info that boosters really get. Many times their info isn't correct. So I am going to be cautiously optimistic on this one.

totally agree... again when they put the pencil to the paper their could be some issues that the two parties can't agree on... Neil Cornrich is a really smart dude who will want randy to get multiple yrs and big time money so that could keep this from happening,

This is a huge upgrade from Wilcox if true. Could be a sign that things are finally starting to go our way. Already rumors that Shannon being hired could put us in a great position to pull Pender from FSU. I know, all speculation at this point but, damn its nice to be reading/posting good news for once!! GBO

If he has to overrule his coach on the very first hire that he is supervising...why keep the coach around. I think Hart is sincere when he says he allows his coaches to do their work.

Damn, Im running in the wrong circles. I dont know any "top boosters".

The closest I come to a booster is when I walk down the automotive selection at Wal-mart and read "Boost your fuel economy by 22%!"

Just got off the phone with my guy. He confirms the RS talk but also said that Steele has been contacted as well.

There was also a lot of stuff said about Jimmy Cheek trying to put his hand in things without the blessing of Haslem on many things and there is a big power struggle at the top right now.

I hope all that political stuff at the top in no way messes up an attempt to get a top notch DC.

Crazy not to. Might be a few snags....either way, I'm happy how things are progressing.

I have to agree 100% with all of doc's post today. I knew a big booster back when fulmer was it charge. Its like they prefer to brag about their knowledge.
