That's your fault. Even with alternate uniform combos, it's still incredibly easy to figure out.

Because helmets have to be broken in during practices. Practiced in the Smokey Grey the weeks they were worn in games this year and last.

Aren't the practice helmets touched up and painted before the games? Scuffs, dents and such? Doing a coating in orange doesn't seem like a stretch.

No, typically the players wear a different helmet for practice. The only time they wear the game helmet for practice is when they are trying to break them in.

The game helmets are scrubbed and decals are replaced, but there is no painting done in house. Notre Dame was the last school to do that, and they had to stop three years ago for safety reasons.

I would like to go Back in Black. Black shirt, pants, cleats, socks, and helmet. The only orange would be the stripes on the pants, the lettering(and numbers too) on the shirts, Power T and stripe on the helmet(flat finish).
