Uniforms for SC

The captains help select the uniform combo each week. They prefer the all-white.

There are orange pants ready and available. I'd imagine you'll see all orange for homecoming, like last year.

I'd like to see white/orange pants but as long as we get an all orange game once a year, I can take the trade off.

If it's that big a deal, then kids should find a school that matches their color preference. I know it's hard for millennials to understand it isn't about them, but it isn't.

Except is about them considering they are the athletes being recruited. Apparently a crap ton of them like alternate looks because as of right now, Alabama, Auburn, and Penn St. are about the only teams not doing any kind of alternate or throwback, or at least any uniform that isn't almost exactly like their normal ones.

Maybe it's not the millennials that don't understand.....

Can we just get over the "What are they wearing to the game?" crap. It's f...g football; not a bunch of girls deciding what to wear for a night out. We ARE TENNESSEE ORANGE and WHITE. Is that too difficult to understand?

How dare these people offend you with their discussion of uniforms in this thread clearly titled as a thread discussing uniforms.

It isn't about you either. Marketing is a huge part of sports and that isn't going to change, ever. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing an alternate uniform once or twice a year even if it isn't a color YOU approve of. I wish Tennessee would become Oregon East and wear a different uniform every game. I'm very far removed from a millenial, a Gen X'er or anything like that so your argument is null and void. Luckily the powers that be at least gave us the smokey grays and hopefully there's more to come. Perhaps when it does happen you can take your own advice and find a school that will be more to your liking color wise.

Are you a vampire or a werewolf?:w00t:

Always love the people that come into a thread and take time to tell everyone how much of a waste of time said thread is.

Simple solution....stay out.

I don't believe they can wear Orange jerseys without approval of the home school and possibly the SEC.

That will be the problem. Remember the game when we played against Muschamp and the Gators that we were ticked that the DBs of Florida held about every play but only called a couple times. After the game Will Muschamp admitted he made his team wear white gloves so they would blend with our jerseys making harder for refs to call a penalty making it a more physical game. I'm guessing South Carolina has white gloves but not ORANGE.

7 pages of posts on this topic. I don't care what they where. Just destroy USC and get back home healthy men!

I hope they start the game in all Orange and finish in all black. That would make your head explode.

TN could wear home orange jerseys but I believe they would receive 15 yard penalties to start game and start of 2nd half so no one would do it.

I just looked it up and the team wearing wrong jersey may be charged a timeout. No coach would want that either.

Apparently, so go buy your new pink i-Toy to match your new pink shoes. So much more important to coordinate your colors so that you can be a part of something rather than actually be something. Education is supposed to do something about ignorance rather than give you a place to revel in it.

Marketing sells to ignorance. It is a tool not to inform but to cover the flaws in a product and to sell you what you don't need.
I have been watching the conversation and it is very obvious you know nothing about sales or marketing. Please stop debating what you don't know as you will make a fool of yourself.

If you truly felt this way, you wouldn't be in this thread crying. Your lame argument has been shot down a million times over. Uniforms matter. They have always mattered.

It has no impact on the way we play, but sports is an industry, a large one at that. When fans see uniforms on TV, it's a part of the entertainment value. Also, if we were to wear a particular uniform combo, and a fan sees a jersey and likes it, that's merchandise sales as well. It's more than just not having an impact on the game. It's to entertain, sell, etc.

Not true for all fans. I refuse to buy anything Nike. Way over priced and over rated quality.

I like the storm troopers but for a night game on Halloween I think uscjr in all black and is in all orange would be awesome. I love stuff like this. I hope they make it happen. You know the players and recruits would love this too. No doubt in my mind. I hope we beat the crap out of usc. Go Vols!
