I was there for Halloween black jersey night....it could happen

What a game that was. Warm ups in Orange and then run the T in the black jerseys. Cold, rainy night where we kicked the absolute S&!t out of the Gamecocks. One of my all time favorite nights in Neyland.

It was an absolutely beautiful fall afternoon for the tailgate too, didn't start raining until game time.

Orange pants are not coming back, Vols will wear storm troopers as usual. You can hardly expect this coaching staff to surprise the fanbase with anything.

They are available but for some reason haven't been worn. I don't like the orange pants unless they are matched with the orange jerseys.

Please! Someone tell me when and why uniforms have become such a big thing in football? Is fashion so important in the life of people that it now has import on the way we play games?

It is huge for players and kids these days. Fashion is a huge selling point and will only become more and more important.

Who cares what the Vols wear? They need to just Win the Game. Fans that worry about making a "fashion statement" have no life.

Tell that to the players where fashion statements and cool uniforms are huge. And not just in Knoxville but EVERYWHERE.

I don't believe they can wear Orange jerseys without approval of the home school and possibly the SEC.

I had an AAU coach that was all about looking good. He said if you look good you played good. We were sponsored so we had like 8 different uniforms. 8 different shoes, 4 warm up suits, tshirts, sandals, socks, bags the whole nine. It started off pretty good, but eventually I got tired of trying to keep up with what we were suppose to wear lol. Does it matter what you wear? In my opinion no but I was also more old school even as a youngster. We did win a lot though.

There's a rumor on the 247 board that South Carolina will wear all black from helmet to cleat Saturday, and we'll be in orange from helmet to cleat. That's the only place I've seen it. Don't shoot the messenger. Just bringing what I saw on another board. Maybe Deerpark can shoot it down.

I hope it's a very, very warm day.

Why we don't wear orange pants anymore? Stirs up too many memories of Dooley

The captains help select the uniform combo each week. They prefer the all-white.

There are orange pants ready and available. I'd imagine you'll see all orange for homecoming, like last year.

Can we just get over the "What are they wearing to the game?" crap. It's f...g football; not a bunch of girls deciding what to wear for a night out. We ARE TENNESSEE ORANGE and WHITE. Is that too difficult to understand?

Again, it isn't just about the football team. The team is a small part of a huge industry. Take off the blinders, folks.

If it's that big a deal, then kids should find a school that matches their color preference. I know it's hard for millennials to understand it isn't about them, but it isn't.

Ignorance is bliss, I see.

No, we aren't part of Nike or the fashion industry. If you think that life is all about accepting what marketing people want of you, then you aren't worth much as a human being.

It isn't about you either. Marketing is a huge part of sports and that isn't going to change, ever. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing an alternate uniform once or twice a year even if it isn't a color YOU approve of. I wish Tennessee would become Oregon East and wear a different uniform every game. I'm very far removed from a millenial, a Gen X'er or anything like that so your argument is null and void. Luckily the powers that be at least gave us the smokey grays and hopefully there's more to come. Perhaps when it does happen you can take your own advice and find a school that will be more to your liking color wise.
