Understanding Jeremy Pruitt's philosophical difference with Jimmy Brumbaugh

Well, I guess being a HC or DC at a major university is a piece of cake then....

I can assure you that most high school level coaches could see that we aren’t beating very many teams with JG at qb and could defend a slant pass.

Why would he hire an assistant who was “philosophically different?” The last time this happened Fulmer wrecked the program.
If you're talking about Clawson, there were big problems within the program long before he arrived. When David Cutcliff came back in 2006, he said, "I never seen a team with so little discipline".

Yep remember a segment someone did with Cut when he came back and he talked about how bad the discipline was.
I'd still say Sunseri was the worst hire of all in the 2000's by Dooley. Chaney was killing it on O that year but we couldn't stop anybody.

What exactly does this have to do with people being critical of Pruitt 'meddling with the defense' by calling plays? 🙄

Not that it matters, but you do know that scientists have determined that neanderthals were NOT less intelligent than modern humans, right?
I'm not real confident in stuff scientists say about things that happened that long ago because I've lived long enough to see them change their minds multiple times about things, but since you mention it, I do remember now seeing somewhere that they now think Neanderthals were smarter than originally thought, and also that most dinosaurs had feathers. Weirdness indeed.

Somebody is wearing too many hats.
I agree. If I recall, I read an article a few years ago about Dabo having this issue early as a HC. It wasn't until he let go of the offense and focused on being a HC that Clemson really started to become what they are now.

Wait, you weren’t there? Did you get frozen in the Cromagnon neighborhood or something?

...geez, I miss Phil Hartman.

And UT is paying Ansley 1 Mil a year for what?

But whose fault is it? Ansley is the DC but CJP is calling plays for D line and LBs and Ansley is calling for the DBs. Is that correct? I thought that CJP was the DB guru. Hard way to have continuity. Maybe Ansley is getting big $ to deal with CJP’s “philosophy”.

Coach P gave us a big clue to why he let Brumbaugh go. He said the D Line was not reading or understanding the set the O was showing basically coach B only taught technique but wasn't teaching his lineman how to play the offensive sets. Every Offense and lineman have tendencies yes first you have correct steps and hand placement but at the same time you should be reading your 🔑 In CHRIST Alone

Also its not uncommon to call the front first then secondary makes it call according and even sometimes change call before the snap. In CHRIST Alone

In before the proverbial 'we've just happen to have an opening for a DL coach, give it a shot and send in your resume.'

Edit: I think I read the first line of your post wrong, if so, my apologies for the sarcasm...
