I don't get the Putin slobbing by some here. He is doing all he can to destabilize the region and start a cold war so his people will allow him to subjugate them for the next couple of decades.

He sees weakness in Europe and the US and he is playing the game, always one step ahead. Wish we had elected someone with a little backbone

You think we are not acting aggressively enough? Do you people not realize that this is a Super Power? Why would you want to agitate the situation even more?

right we should have left Germany and Japan alone too. wouldn't want to make the situation worse.

he is very much a GSD guy, which i respect. how he GSD is what bothers me.

i hate the guy, but i respect the crap out of him. couldn't see Obama answering these questions.

also i can see him angling for more power. even some of the questions are based on that premise (yes i am suggesting he loaded the box of questioners) "if only we didn't have so much red tape to cut through, something could have been done"

funny about how "open" he is to criticism while the government passes laws banning attacks on the government and famous people via memes.

RT using a picture of an ISIS-seized US Humvee in Syria/Iraq to make it look like it was more US equipment seized by al-Qaeda in Yemen.

http://rt.com/news/250713-qaeda-seize-yemen-military/

This is the kind of thing they constantly accuse other people of doing, yet try to get away with all the time themselves.

Just don't ask them where they got the vast majority of their military equipment.

In Soviet Russia, Islamic terrorists give weapons to you!

RT does this all the time though. They post a false story or a misleading picture, knowing they can put it out there for a little while then retract it and apologize. But the damage is already done. They've already achieved their goal of creating doubt and misinformation regarding the enemies of Russia. The most notable one I recall was from last summer when they posted an article concerning how one of their reporters had been fired upon by Ukrainian soldiers. They even had the video of it. Turns out, all it was was the dumbass triggered a tripwire flare (because the Ukrainians had secured their perimeters) and ran like hell, thinking they were shooting at him. They were probably just standing there laughing at him.

How many heads of state would do this?! Very few! Ours would never do this!!
I haven't had a chance to watch his teleconference yet, but it is so refreshing to see a leader that will actually come out and communicate with the people and relate to the Average Joe's mundane problems. Obama ran on having the most open administration in US history and we've gotten nothing close.

Calm down, you two. I admit it would be nice to have something like this here, and even something like the British Parliament model of the Prime Minister having to account for himself directly in front of Parliament. That would be nice.

But most of the Putin marathon is softball crap, just sculpted to make him look really personable and relatable.

There's a reason why he wasn't asked about Russia's poor infrastructure, its declining population, and its business practices, just to name a few.

I love the granny who stands up to the Russian bastard. It's good to be able to hear the locals telling them they don't want them there, which I imagine is the majority. Probably just too intimidated. But this granny wasn't having any of it!

Interfax is reporting that Vladimir Putin will not rule out "recognizing" the DNR/LNR which is in direct violation of the Minsk Accords. Also interestingly enough Interfax also reported that Putin said any Israeli lethal assistance to Ukraine would be counter-productive. I have to wonder if Bibi is considering providing aid to Ukraine in retaliation for the S-300 shipments to Iran?
