Ukraine Protests

Apparently a Russian media source was wrong. One state run media is correcting another state run media about the CCTV outtage. According to the new source they were in fact working after all. Which state run media are we to believe? Russian MSM is really confusing.

MoskvaAgency

my money is on one of these new sources to receive a massive lack of funding coming up.

The wiki you posted said the war crimes were against the Free Syrian Army. ISIS is made up from the same jihadis that were in the FSA. So I don't see the distinction your trying to make.

someone else posted the wiki. the fact is that yes many of the terrorist organizations over there have joined ISIS (and for some god-awful reason we have funded them, this is an point for another thread) but Assad was fighting his own people BEFORE ISIS was a thing. They have joined because they would rather be with ISIS than Assad, Assad named them terrorists instead of the revolutionaries (this argument sounds familiar) so the rest of the world wouldn't help them (but as said above for some awful reason we did). And if these guys would rather side with ISIS than Assad that is saying something.

Troll Monday? People are seriously defending Assad?

We were presented indisputable intelligence that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. That intel was proven to be completely made up. Forgive me if I now question everything regarding how bad Assad is.

because Z was false A-Y must be false?

No more ludicrous than supporting Obama, Kerry, McCain, Clinton and the bunch..

bahahahahaha, I can't speak for anyone else but the general feeling i have gotten from this group is that NOONE likes the guys you mentioned. GrandVol has been pretty vocal in particular (feel free to correct me if wrong GV). While I don't think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread they pale in comparison to the other world leaders being mentioned here.

That's not what I'm saying at all. There is a pattern of false information; continue to buy into it if you want to.

Exactly. People are taken in by the disinformation because anything that counters it is immediately labeled conspiracy or untruth....or simply never gets to the main stream.

Greatest foreign policy leaders ever.

Like for all time.

so you are saying that if the MSM says A-Y then A-Y must be wrong. but if i find some vague blogger/someone with a website who has no connections and never been to the countries in question its legit? To misquote Jim Gaffigan its all McDonalds. you just buy from Wendy's.

This is why I said a few days ago these guys think like Russians. Just because we are Americans does not mean we are all on the same page and love Obama or whoever is in charge. This is the fallacy of these people. It's an all or nothing mentality. If you blast Putin, you hate everything Russian and you are an Obama supporter and support every single policy that has ever come from America.....

Sorry but videos by FL slumlords claiming the CIA killed Nemtsov will never make it to the mainstream. Using videos like this will never make it past the credibility smell test.

Do I really seem like the kind of person that blindly follows everything I read? I generally try to ask more questions than make statements anyway. The truth is, everything we read has an angle to sell. If anyone is pre-disposed to a way of thinking, confirmation bias will kick in.

And Wendy's baconator is wayyyy better than anything at McDonalds.

Watching this video and the countless other repeats of it out there....I never see anyone coming from the stairs. If he was shot in the back, the only probable location is from behind then walking. The only means of doing that point blank is the street sweeper. Was someone in the passenger seat OR riding on the side or back (driver unaware)? Nemtsov is shot after the truck passes BUT while still in the view. The alleged gunman runs out from behind the truck to get to the car. I am not a forensics expert but events do not happen until that truck gets there. No one runs from the stairs - if they ran from the stairs they would have shot Nemtsov facing him. Call me crazy but there has been no mention of the truck, the driver, etc. in the Russian media. Has the driver been questioned? Did he notice any shots? Anyone hanging around his truck?

False

False

Not forgiven.

As for ISIS, they weren't a major force in the war at the outset. Only after things had already descended to hell in Assad's Syria did they start holding territory.

As I'm reading that wiki, I'm reminded of many other countries the UN has accused of atrocities in the recent past. East Timur, Iraq in Kuwait, Serbia, and Kosovo all had similar charges. After the military action, it was discovered that the allegations were severely overblown, if not outright made up.

So are you saying Serb war crimes in the Yugoslav wars didn't happen?

Its funny that we have crystal clear color video of this shooting, but the US is only able to provide blurry black & white still images of alleged Russian equipment on twitter and instagram. If the Russians are that quick to release good quality info, what does that say about the US?

when you issues some statements about not believing ANY of the dirt on Assad because of 1 situation, it leads me to believe you are one who believes the nut jobs. Agreed on the second part of that paragraph, which is why if I read something in one source i check out others to see what they are saying. If most agree i take it for fact unless there are some big issues (avoided topics etc). I actually like using RT as a source for validation when it comes to matters not dealing with Russia and the US. they offer valid arguments at times or at least another view point.

and thanks for ruining the diet i was on with the mention of the baconator.

Palestine fires a rocket into an empty field, Israel responds by leveling several neighborhoods. The majority of the US says "hell yeah, Israel has a right to defend itself".

Assad is fighting an evil army that is going around cutting the heads off of every Sunni and Christian they can get their hands on, and we say Assad is targeting civilians.

Two things you forgot to include:

1. Palestinian militants always make sure to embed with civilians before firing those rockets (much like our "pro-Russian" friends in Ukraine).

2. ISIS wasn't around when the Syrian Civil War began. Assad's punking of his own society for having the audacity to challenge his authority is what allowed ISIS to flourish there.

right, we have never posted in any color photos or videos on here at all.......

and remember the US is not officially involved so why do we care/spend millions/billions doing so?

Look where Russia is on the Debt-to-GDP chart... I'm sure the sanctions will prove to be successful.
