Ukraine Protests

Again, why are we getting (more) involved in this? Let Germany and te rest of Europe handle this.

step back and look at it from our side. call it a hypothetical situation if you must. Putin is Hitler 2.0, he IS taking back 'native Russian' lands, he is talking anti-everyone else and very Russian Imperialistic, he is oppressing his people (LGBT and cripples). Now the rest of the world sees this, and is being called to protect Ukraine and other near-Russian nations are calling for reassurance (Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Finland). how do you respond? do you sit back and wait for it to go from bad to worse like we did with Hitler, or do you do everything in your power to stop WWIII before it starts? (sans nukes) remember this is a hypothetical and you are placing yourself in the shoes of people who see Russia as the enemy. now what do you do? do you sit on the sidelines and let it go from bad to worse knowing what will likely happen?

NYC doesn't border Russia, you are correct. But at the same time how far can Putin go before there are no more "ethnic Russians" on his doorstep?
Again, you have no evidence, nor has Putin offered any indication that his goal is to march through Europe on some kind of neo-Red Empire campaign.

The only ones on this planet that have the ability to do that would be the United States.

Germany and Russia partitioning a third country in a secret "peace agreement"--what could go wrong?

Why are you mocking a diplomatic solution to a problem that will include Ukraine?

Would you rather this situation be settled on the battlefield?

"We" weren't and aren't over there.

Well, technically we are. And being that we fought two World Wars and had to keep the Soviets on their side of the wall for another 40 years afterwards, we do have a vested interest in the security of Europe.

It's pretty much what friends do for smaller and weaker friends. We help protect them.
