Is the head of the Ukrainian Army on the front-lines? I'll believe the men who are actually doing the fighting and dying and they are saying they are fighting Russian regulars. Not to mention there is photographic evidence of Russian markings on the equipment. They don't try and hide it even more.

There is a report compiled by ARES about the various munitions, arms, and equipment used by both sides in the conflict.
