To be fair, the outside oil crash would have hit Russia regardless. It wouldn't have lead to the currency free fall, but it would hurt.

Russia wouldn't be dumb enough to start a war with NATO.

This is just posturing. However, I'm sure our Baltic allies and Poland are glad we're keeping our end of the NATO bargain.

agreed on the second part, not so sure on the first. it will be interesting, for lack of a better word, to see what Russia's economy tanking will do. Might force Putin's hand, maybe not into NATO land but could easily cause escalation in Ukraine and a few other areas.

I was actually rethinking that as I typed it out.

We did almost the same thing against Japan in the 30s by cutting off their oil and the Versailles Treaty also forced Germany's hand.

And this isn't the US, for those questioning. The US is a major player but many EU/NATO nations were the ones pushing for firm sanctions against Russia.

Hopefully this blows over. If we do go to war I hope it stays conventional and I would feel bad for (yet again) the Polish and Baltics being the playground of yet another massive war.

I'm serious, the Polish will never get ahead. Poor guys are treading water with a 20lb weight belt on.

Call for aid?? Aid in what? Russian aggression....lol.

And as far as bringing info....I don't have to explain why to you. It's my right to bring a different perspective other than the one-sided propaganda that is MSM. And if it so happens to smear the US in the process, so be it...
