Exactly... I guess some Russian soldier most have posted something on Twitter or a Youtube video as they were crossing the border.

Yep, female Russian General Tara Titsoff sent selfies to RT and Paul Craig Roberts while riding the lead tank into Ukraine. All over twitter...

so as long as they aren't marked its ok? so all we need to do is remove those pesky american flags from our uniforms then we have no reason to complain about our troops in Syria right?

I didn't say it was right or wrong! But there is a huge difference between some Russian nationalist yahoos jumping the border with RPGs and a few soviet era tanks and "the Russian army" crossing into Ukraine.

I'm talking about a definitive convoy of Russian marked tanks, Russian marked equipment and men in Russian uniforms crossing the border.

Russia has been conducting a soft invasion of Donbas since the spring. Everyone knows this (except, perhaps, the hardcore RT crowd).

The U.N. isn't going to do anything--Russia will veto. Unless Russia enlarges its invasion further west, NATO will likely not do much, either. No western government wants to risk blood on Donetsk.

It is what it is.

Everyone knows it but Russia itself! Lol

Moscow slams NATO?s accusations of invasion in Ukraine as groundless ? RT News

So I guess you think the dozen or so Russian paratroopers (which has been confirmed) that were captured and then released by Ukraine a few months back really did just get lost on a patrol on the border and accidentally ended up 20 miles or so inside Ukraine.

Russian GPS sucks.

Edit: Meant for this to be on the end of my previous post.

BBC News - Ukraine crisis: Russian troops crossed border, Nato says

General Breedlove says major Russian combat forces/equipment are moving into Ukraine as we speak.

fyi our Abrams are also Soviet Era tanks. Russia has to be allowing the tanks to leave Russia, its not a like a few buddies got together picked up their Kalashnikovs and decided to join the fight. These are tanks! that shoot, even if they were stolen, Russia would have said as such, they would not have been combat ready. Someone in Moscow is okaying the deployment of military hardware from their depots somewhere. and with all of their troops stationed near the border +/- 100 miles you would think the vaunted Russian military could stop a, in your world, few tanks from crossing the border, if they were interested in maintaining the cease fire they were a big part of forming. if Russia wants peace why is it allowing militants to cross its borders?

you would throw a fit if a few of our Abrams turned up in Mexico shooting up a town on the border, its a two way street.

I can see where 10 Russian paratroopers could get lost, blown off track into Ukraine. Yes, Russia practices military exercises along their borders.

Many Ukrainian soldiers have wandered into Russia during this conflict. You're going to have to give me more than 10 Russian paratroopers as an invading force.

pretty sure they were driving, and the nearest Russian confirmed Russian activity going on in the area was 50+ miles away at the time, on the Russian side of the border, even if it was air drop 70 miles is a long way to drift.

You also have to remember that the propaganda calls Russian troops being 400 miles from Ukraine as being on Ukraine`s border. Tantamount to troops being stationed in Knoxville as being on the Arkansas border.

Doesn't Russia have the right to practice military exercises anywhere within their borders? I thought so too!

You really need to do some research on the Russian VDV Airborne Forces before you call them just "paratroops."

They aren't exactly your average bear (no pun intended) and are generally a higher caliber troop than your average conscript. They don't just get...lost.

They probably are beast, but if you're going to send in help, why just 10?

Didn't we have 20-25 seals go in after Bin Laden?

Apparently they have the right to practice them in the Gulf of Mexico as well.

You all complained and belly-ached when Russia flew planes in the North Atlantic last week and complained when they flew planes in the Baltic Sea. What is Russia supposed to do, just fly planes with in their borders only and not in international waters? Let me ask, does the US fly planes in the North Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico?

Does the US fly planes regularly into the White Sea?

And the North Atlantic =/= the Gulf of Mexico. That's the equivalent of flying a bomber into the Sea of Okhotsk.
