just found out my uncle is over there for "work". Not exactly sure where but i think near St. Petersburg. He is "staying" in Finland and "commuting" in daily. He is "working on" a chemical plant and will be there for about a week. So if you here any news about an American Spy being captured in that area let me know.

Quotation marks added for dramatic effect.

You sure he didn't say "TechCamp"?

Must be an easy border crossing.

lol, there have already been issues. He tried crossing on the 2nd but the visa or whatever wasn't active until the 3rd. so he was grabbed and spent a couple hours getting finger printed and photographed. (nothing too sketch or unfriendly) while they (the Russians) talked to the company and figured it out. he was allowed to cross on the 3rd no problem.

Earlier I saw at least two reports that the car had been found. More rumoring than reporting, I guess.

not sure why they link it to the finance ministry, it says in the article the car is linked to a security firm that works for multiple ministries.

Earlier this morning there were stories of an acquaintance of Nemtsov promising to publish Nemtsov's report on Russian involvement in Ukraine. Now there are reports that Nemtsov's apartment in Yaroslavl is being searched and computers being seized. We can only wonder....

Bankers in Russia are controlled by Putin. Funny how that works when you've created a government that revolves around control going to one man. Everything points back to him.

I was half kidding. But let's be real about Putin's power. Even Hitler did not control the bankers.

Considering Putin's the one putting them in power I'd say he's got some decent control. Central Bank's head Elvira Nabiullina has been Putin's hand in finance for years. Gazprombank, Sberbank, Bank Rossiya are all controlled by his people he's been with for years. Putin has the oil and banking industries tied together. Doesn't mean they cannot do their own thing but Putin has sacked people going too far out of line.

Maybe everyone in this entire thread should put everyone else on Ignore. That way we can just post our two cents, no one else can read it, and we don't have to worry about troll accusations flying around.

P.S. I saw a new one today on the RT forums: "Anglozionazis." That's very clever. The ability to compress everything that one hates into such pure, pristine precision really does amaze.

Anglozionazis....coming soon to a discussion board near you. At least they are trying to mix it up and keep it fresh and new. A few hundred may be repeating the same thing but at least those few hundred do change up the terms every now and then.

LifeNews (Russian MSM) interviews a DNR leader, Alex Milchakov, who apparently has a fascination for all things Nazi. As much as the Russian trolls love to use references like this on the Ukraine side, it has to be pointed out how their leaders have the fascist connections and obsession.

Update: I thought the guy looked familiar. Apparently, this is the same sick guy that cut off the head of a puppy and ate some of the meat. He's got some pretty sick photos out there with animals, cut off heads, and some bodies of those he's claimed to have killed in Ukraine. Apparently, Russian media likes these types to interview about Nemtsov's murder and events in Ukraine....a fascist dog killer and a fetish for disturbing photos with dog heads and dead Ukrainian soldiers.

ok the defense used is hilarious, it clearly wasn't me because they were wearing masks. (I don't think it was him in the video the article is referencing) give me a break, and there are people commenting trying to defend the puppy killing because he did it when he was 16. Here in America that means you are a sociopath and likely serial killer. also he can't be a Nazi because he is fighting for the Russians. good stuff in the comments.

As a Humanities professor, we're taught not to generalize people, so what I'm about to do is not generalizing people. Which is to say, I'm about to generalize people.

But take your average dumb American (and think how much we all enjoy making fun of said average dumb American) and multiply that by at least 10. There you have your average dumb Russian.

It's a shame how Putin's government is treating them and their families, as well as anyone who has the audacity to inquire about them.
