Britain, France, Turkey, and surprisingly Greece (per 2012 #s) are at or over the 2% requirement from NATO. In the past year or so Estonia and Poland has also met that 2% stipulation. However of the "big" countries Germany is by far the worst partner.

There's a big difference in tossing out 20,000 conscripted individuals that happen to be wearing the same clothing into battle and a trained and professional force of soldiers.

There may be legitimate arguments against being drafted, but an "artificial" conflict is not one of them. The country is being invaded by a foreign army.

Former prime minister Azarov is saying it is time to set up a government in exile as well. You don't do this unless you have intent to return. Wonder why this spark all of a sudden? Promises made while under the care of Putin? The sharks smell blood. Clearly the plan is working. Seeing all of this play out and still somehow the delusional see this as all a US staged and orchestrated event. Ras just may see his USSR, er....Russia restored to 'grandness' yet again.

INVESTIGATORS probing the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 have uncovered new footage, featuring militia trawling through burning wreckage and Australian luggage and bragging over what they thought had been a military transporter.

The stunning 23 minutes of footage, watched by News Corp Australia, was found being passed around rebels in Donetsk before a copy was smuggled out of the rebel-held east Ukraine region and passed to investigators.

Russian drone flights east of Mariupol have dramatically increased over the past 48 hours.

And it seems Russia just really doesn't care about the OSCE and border conditions. No sneaking around. They're just boldly going right through the front door now and the OSCE can only sit back and protest. That "noble" Russia just does not care about Minsk II or any other agreement, law, treaty, etc.

Echoed Volkotrub, the older soldier: “If the state needs me, I’m ready to serve for another year or two or three, but give us normal weapons! Not that outdated Soviet scrap iron.”

That article is exactly the reason why we need to arm them. 15, 20, sometimes 30 year old weapons and outdated armor? You give them the tools and the morale will improve and the Ukrainians will continue fighting.

Mariupol has long been the prize of the Russians as is Kharkiv.

If the Ukrainian military had not invaded and waged war on Donetsk and Luhansk instead of listening to the will of the people, this outdated crap would be irrelevant..
